Just came back from my first observing session under a bortle 3 sky in a blue zone. Before that the best night sky is saw whas a bortle 5 in a red zone. It’s really amazing I could see the Milky Way from horizon to horizon and a lot of stars. To the naked eye the Milky Way looked like a milky cloud. I can’t wait to see a bortle 1 night sky!

Great work sir, huge fan. Nature has so much to offer, to become it's friend so we can enjoy it's company and grow together. I hope sooner people realize what they're missing and contribute to their fight against light, water, air, environmental pollution. As far as the night sky is concerned places with LP 5 and below should be preserved all over the world cause these are absolutely spectacular, like poetry in motion in front of your eyes, something to connect with the people who walked on earth in past, to see with our own eyes the greatest show the nature can possibly show "the magic of the stars and galaxies". Phenomenal.

I love that you remade this film, the over exaggerated representation of the milky way was the only thing that I didn't like about the first version. Thank you for putting effort into accurately representing the problem!

The reason that the Milky Way appears way dimmer in this video is because it’s a timelapse of the Orion a constellation that is in the winter night sky during this period you are looking at the outskirts of our galaxy while the other video was during the summer when the galactic center is visible

@@astrosheepy3906 With truly dark skies, the Milky Way can cast shadows. I try to time and place my own work at times when the current batch of Starlink satellites are least likely to interfere. How things will look when Elon and others get 20000 to 40000 satellites up there is anyone's guess.

Yeah now we can add another enemy to the list. 1 clouds 2 light pollution 3 bad seeing conditions 4 starlink satellites. When I first saw them they where so cool but know they really become annoying and I’m worried for the future of astronomy especially astrophotography because there are just way to much of those goddam satellites

It's NOT just City Lighting, on its own, that is causing this phenomenon, but rather the ROOT CAUSE is in the increase in humidity... This is being illuminated by the light from our Cities. ... Starlight is also being reflected back of our atmosphere due to the increase in humidity. WARNING: As oceanic and land temperatures increases, more and more evaporation takes place... If this phenomenon continues, daylight will reduce to the point where even sunlight will no longer reach the Earth's surface, blocked out by the increased humidity in our atmosphere....
