After all the off-road adventures in Nepal, it was time for me to head to the capital city. Kathmandu, and experience the more urban side of the country as well. The 200 km ride from Pokhara to Kathmandu was quite effortless and a pleasant change as well. Once in Kathmandu, I discovered a completely different side to this fascinating country. The capital is interesting, intriguing and overall a really fun and fascinating place to be. My stopover was brief, but I enjoyed it thoroughly. After exploring some parts of Thamel and Patan, it was time for me to continue my ride out of Nepal. I intended to exit at the far East corner in Kakarbhitta, so I had to cover nearly 500 kilometres, some parts on smaller and more picturesque highways and the rest on the main East-West Highway of Nepal. What ensued was an interesting journey on my Royal Enfield complete with an epic navigational goof-up by yours truly! Watch the whole episode!
