I can’t wait to get this deck. I don’t really care about the book, unless they would’ve had the movie explanations. The art and the key word can be used strictly with intuition…some cards may be harder to connect to but I’m totally ok with that ❤ thank you for your review😊

Hard no for me, however, you should keep the cards and use them when you have a Halloween party, either as invitations or at the place settings. I think they would be adorable as decoration like that.

I appreciate you sharing this as I've not seen it. With that in mind, I'm not an oracle follower and do find some of the key words questionable in terms of advice and relating to the cards. I agree with you that it would be helpful to have a brief synopsis of film plots in the guidebook. I do find the art style striking and intriguing. I wonder a bit about the concept behind a deck such as this as it seems more a movie memorabilia deck than a helpful oracle and I don't generally associate horror movies with helpful advice other thab don't act rash and follow your good instincts to avoid shady business. In the end, I leave it to others to decide how they feel about a deck like this.

Hey Robin! Thanks for checking the video out. This is a good reason I’m not big into oracle decks - the odd keywords and trying to match up with the descriptions is quite jarring. It’s a shame because I like the art. You’re absolutely right - this could be more of a novelty deck. At least, a deck someone can use to draw a card and watch the corresponding movie on the card. But after watching all the movies, I don’t see much use with this deck. Such a shame.

Feeling much better. This is probably the most disappointing deck I pre ordered. 😕 the cards are worthy of putting in a frame or even a coffee table book, but I may end up returning it.

Agree with you, art work is neat. I've only seen a few of the movies so it def did not resonate with me. The Jaws card was my favorite, I have a Jaws themed bathroom 😆🦈

Interesting! I think you nailed this review exactly right. Artwork is really unique and interesting but the pairings of the keywords to the description and upright statement are very odd. I'm not a horror person AT ALL so I agree, more about the movies would make it more accessible to people who haven't seen them. I enjoyed seeing your in-depth walkthrough of the book!

Instead of relying on the guidebook (it's someone else's interpretation of what the card is anyway), use your own knowledge of the films and own ideas of what the card suggests to you. Also the lack of information or lack of knowledge of films may lead to further research of your own (people are so lazy these days and can't be bothered to do research!) 🤷🏻‍♀️ that's the idea of the book it's just a "guide" it's not written in stone! Come up with your own words and keywords. Take what resonates as they say, and leave the rest! I wonder what they would look like paired with the universal monster tarot... 🧐

Yeeeeeaaaahhhh… I don’t like the artwork enough to forgive the ball drop on the guidebook. I won’t be purchasing. I love that Evil Dead II was included (my favorite in the series) but I agree with the commenter who mentioned that they skipped Child’s Play! What a missed opportunity! I’m still looking for the *perfect* horror oracle… Thank you for reviewing!
