Because it was trash. The writers didn't follow the intentions with the show at all. They said everything would be answered, but would also be explained and not only that but the lost reality would be true to our reality, in our realm of existence, meaning that shit in lost could/have happened in the real world. Except they didn't follow that agenda at all and That only resulted into questions that never had answers. Remember it went from a group of survivors, who survived a plane crash and must survive on a remote island, to hurley being the guardian of an island, a time traveling, a space shifting, miracle inducing island and to protect it from this mysterious, evil man in black. Season 5 and 6 were terrible. I can give you an example on why some things are ridiculous. All the flashbacks that desmond was getting, sent back to 1996. That whole mystery was pointless due to the fact that when he found faradays mother the group was already there. That was alot of screentime that served absolute no purpose other than a " false mystery " , seasons 5 and 6 are filled with them. ESPECIALLY THE FLASH SIDEWAYS. Jesus.

I’ve watched it all the way through on streaming multiple times, and if you watch it all the way through it does make sense and every episode does connect to each other. It’s on Amazon prime and Hulu. It’s an amazing experience if you can watch it on those.

Is the reason Jack, Kate, and Sawyer can see Jacob because they are candidates or simply from Jacob burning his ashes? I wish the writers made these things clearer, season 6 was awesome but it was probably the most confusing to follow because much of the plot revolves around supernatural concepts that are a bit tough to grasp.

I only now learn that Mib has Samuel as his name. Jacob and Samuel were two very important exponents of the Old Testament (closely linked to the Jewish religion); I think there is a symbolic meaning in the two names but I don't know the Old Testament so well that I understand it ... maybe some Jew can better interpret the motif of the two names?
