No, not really. Horace is Horace. John is actually sleeping and having a dream in this scene, a dream sent by the island itself. In this show the island has a will and can act upon to advance events. Particularly, the island wants John to find Horace's grave, where he would find a map to the cabin, where he would talk to Christian/MiB and get instructed to move the island - thus starting the final chain of events, which would lead to the ultimate defeat of MiB.

​@@ggeerrppeess I think it would make more sense for this dream to be induced by MiB. Horace is dead so MiB can impersonate him. He told John to find the cabin to meet Jacob which is a lie. And it could also be that the island would not interfere with these events and let MiB believe he is enacting his plan on his own will since it was necessary for the time loop to be started and its necessary for MiB to believe he is winning for Jacobs long con.

@@juharon Jacob lived there for quite a while, and surrounded it with Ash to keep MIB away. it's where he gave Richard lists to give to Ben, then he moved to the tawaret statue when Ben found out the location of the cabin. He instructed ilana and her group to rendevouz at the cabin but when they got there Jacob left them a drawing of tawaret to let them know that he had moved. Between the time Jacob moved to tawaret and his death; MIB used the cabin to trick Claire and locke after the circle of Ash had been broken. So ilana's group burned the cabin to prevent him from using it again.
