Nice playing! That looks like a Rickard banjo. I play one on my channel. It looks like you have Nylguts on there. How did they fit the nut? Were any alterations needed? Cheers.

Hey, thanks! That's a pretty good compliment about the banjo, Rickard makes really nice banjos. It was the first one I ever made and I didn't know much about banjos so I modeled it after the Rickard Dobson model. And it's got the Rickard hardware. I make my own, so changing the nut was not a big deal. I definitely had to widen the nut slots and I made a new bridge. If you have a caliper you can use it to measure the strings, and buy a 5-10 dollar tip cleaner set at a hardware store. They have lots of gauges in them and the caliper can help you figure out exactly which to use. Helps to know what you're doing but it's doable.
