Take all this with a grain of salt. Single officers do have to live on base sometimes but Commanders/command teams are treated different and it’s a very simple ETP to get signed off on to live off post. His response to the storage saying he wants to change because of it is bullshit. Besides having storage opportunities on base there are a bunch of options to go about it. The hill he choose to die on was saying the only option was to spend $180 a month for storage. He is just very arrogant and proud and has been since his OCS videos. If after 4-6 years before command it takes you to loose command to understand its importance you never deserved it to begin with. He’s been too focused on his own shit to care, failing ranger, failing SFAS, getting out, staying in, being a day time talk show host and it reflected. If you think his advice is good here’s a great one…don’t figure out command is important as a commander, take it seriously and if it’s your goal plan appropriately

@@B3b3b3b Your last comment was pretty spot on but this one was a little far. Unfortunately I think you THINK you know more than you actually do. However with me posting videos about my life I invite this type of criticism into it. You can't just get an ETP unfortunately. Its not that simple im sorry. I would have extended this video 10 minutes longer doing that. There weren't storage opportunities on base... Cmon now... You dont think I tried that? You are right that I HAD a big ego. Your last piece of advice is pretty spot on though. Again I appreciate the comment and I look forward to your comment on my next video. Take care.

I’m very surprised that this happened to you. Everything I’ve experienced so far every unit that I’ve been in they’re hurting first commanders so bad that they would’ve accommodated to you. I also feel for you, unlike I feel like you got fucked quite frankly. The one question I would ask though is was that $180 a month burning a whole that big in your pocket that made you want to not take that command?

There's so much context that I can't squeeze into a small video. To answer your question no absolutely not lol! When my BDE CDR found out he even offered to re place me back in the command and/or help me find another command. Again to tell that full story bro it would literally take a 20min video and I can't do that right now. Also KZbin still has to be entertaining to some extent. Maybe I'll have to post side videos going through all my stories and journeys because there are so many.

@@kidthndr2 fair enough, haha. I was gonna say, it seems like you should be able to take command pretty much anywhere. Still crazy they somewhat ostracized you for asking that question though
