Dude‼️ I just subscribe and I want to tell you... I just watched you slipknot duality reaction and you said they sound “bigger than life.” If you want true music that is bigger than life I would suggest you listen to TOOL. I will tell new listeners that as a hip-hop/rap fan, I can see how others might not immediately like it because THERE SONGS ARE USUALLY BETWEEN 8-15 MINUTES LONG, but if you let the music drive You, It will change how you look at life forever. Lyrics hit the beat at just the right time if you are patient. Songs I would recommend besides Sober are; Sweat, Parabol/Parabola(2 song but almost always played as 1), Forty six & 2, Vicarious, or Invincible. Each of these songs are from different albums and are all flawless, that’s how good their discography is, well imo at least lol. Anyways bro, good luck out there, stay safe, and see ya when this all ends. 😄

You are not crazy my man, Maynard is one of the best vocalists out there. He is serious about his craft. This is just a minor sample of the drummer. Try Parabol & Parabola or Pneuma next. You will not be disappointed with this band I promise. Great reaction and I love your understanding of music. It is refreshing to watch someone that knows what they're talking about. 👍

This probably wasn't the best song to start out with strictly for Drums, though the studio version is easier to hear the drums better. This was more a moment to shine for vocalist Maynard James Keenan, one of Metal's best vocalists. Try Ænima, Lateralus, Pneuma (live drum cam), Vicarious, and 7empest for amazing drum work from Danny Carey.

You just discovered one of the most elite recording artists there are in my opinion. When you listen to their album music with headphones or high-definition speakers it's phenomenal. When you actually understand the lyrics and meaning of the song you reach a second plateau of how great it is but when you put both the meaning and the music together, it almost transcends music. I know that sounds crazy but if you seriously take the time to listen hopefully you can see what I mean, cuz no other band has done that for me and I love music of all kinds, new or old. I ask that for Tool.. you listen to the album version of the song and watch the lyric video. It's really the only way to do it my friend. 🙏 a few great songs by tool to start with, *46&2 , Right In Two, The Grudge or Lateralus*...but many more as well. Thanks for tha content mane! 🤘😝🤘

I love how you came here for the drummer and left with the singer. It's actually why the singer leaves the spot light later on, he feels like his brothers in the band aren't getting enough attention and if you watch any more recent videos of the band the singer is basically in the shadows the entire performance.

Yea they told you to come for the drums but Maynard is my favorite vocalist since 92. Tool builds song like this. Danny, Adam and Justin build the track, Maynard comes in at the end and builds the feel, the lyrics, the vocals. The lyrics on a tool song is a must. They are not a band, they are clinic in deep intellectual thinking and survival told by a man who lived it all. Backed by the best drummer, bassist and gutiar player of the last 30 years.

Yeah, you're not crazy. Tool is one of the most talented group of guys ever. Especially starting on their next album that came out after the album this song was on when they got Justin Chancellor as their new bass player. All 4 of them are unbelievably talented. There was a concert where a fan got past security and on stage, and Maynard flipped him over his back on to the ground, got him in a head lock, and kept singing perfectly the whole fucking time. It's unreal

My personal favorite song of Tool is "Right In Two"... Also, you might want to consider the "Maynard's Mom" journey (trilogy about his mother) by Maynard James Keenan (the singer's name) which is as follows: 1) A Perfect Circle - Judith 2) Tool - Wings for Marie 3) Tool - 10,000 Days Best if you do them one after the other, although not required. If you do them one at a time, you may want to refresh yourself before you do the next song... Also, this trilogy will showcase some of his range, talent, and ability as both a singer AND a very intelligent songwriter.

Fun fact for ya: I know you have enjoyed reacting to a lot of rage against the machine videos. Tool and Rage Against the Machine actually started to blow up around the same time and the members all sort of grew out of the same sort of group of friends/artists in the same very close-knit area of LA around the same time. Tom Morello (rage guitarist) and Adam Jones (Tool guitarist) were friends before either band formed. In fact the very first Tool tour was supported by Rage Against the Machine. In FACT, the singer from Tool, the dude you are watching in this video...was ALMOST the vocalist for rage against the machine. I'm glad they went with Zach de La Rocha for Rage Against the Machine, but still...makes you wonder. One last factoid I promise: The song "know your enemy" by Rage, off Rage's first album, has a guest vocal spot from Maynard.

A lot of people thought he was on drugs singing this but really he was acting drugged up for the performance. Its not easy for a lot of people to sing bent over like that but for him and his voice it came natural. It took me years to reach certain tones of his voice. He inspires me to sing. Im sober and clean now but when i was high on weed and meth i mean the highs really got me into it. Now in sobriety its gotten me into so much more on a higher level and watching him on some of the live shows has actually given me the high without the drugs.

Welcome to Tool! Every band member is a master of their craft. Danny is probably the most unique and talented drummer with his time signatures. This vid not the best quality but I guarantee you will be blown away by this band. Schism, the pot, parabola to name only a few of an amazing catalog of perfection

Like others have said, welcome to the rabbit hole, welcome to the world of Tool, where they take you on a journey of ups and downs and back again. Tool is deep Bro, and kicking, and so good, oh you have no idea! Listen to the lyrics closely.

Well spotted on the singers positioning. I've watched many vocal coaches react to this video in disbelief.

Even with the extreme fandom for Maynard, I don't think he's appreciated for his voice widely. His voice is operatic. It's amazing.

All of Tool's songs are very lyric heavy. I recommend the lyric videos for most of them.

Maynard is not just a singer, he's a master performer. And he's been singing in the shadows on the back of the stage when they play live since the early 2000's.

Very true about the posture comment. In another reaction video a singing coach said the same thing.

How did I miss this for more than a week? I'm surprised you've only hit 12k subs w/ Tool fans the way they are. You might as well go ahead and que up the entire Tool discography now. Seriously, these fookers won't stop commenting until you do 'em all.

Yo, straight up, your knowledge and perspective of both the singer, and the music made me sub instantly after the video ended. Love to see more tool reactions, but interested in whatever you put out. ✌️

Maynard James Keenan is the singer, and he's also the singer in A Perfect Circle, as well as Puscifer. All incredible bands. Check out Judith by A Perfect Circle and The Remedy by Puscifer. You'll hear his distinct style and how he influences the bands that he's in.
