This was the most poignant moment of the whole doc imo. Beautiful film about the process of this entire project, but how they focused on her work and the process for this song, and particularly how they presented this final version - especially with that brilliant editing - made it even that more emotional

Apart from being a wonderful song, with the beautiful voice of Rhiannon Giddens, this was the video where I first heard the Lovell sisters and then discovered Larkin Poe.

I went the other way. Whilst exploring my love of Larkin Poe I found this amazing woman. I thought Rebecca Lovell’s voice was as good as I’d heard in a while and then I found this too. A happy man in a lockdown

Thank you so much for uploading!!! I have to admit, I suspected something was happening between Rhiannon and Marcus, I think there was something, they felt close... the tension was very palpable to me...I'm just going to leave it at that...

One of the saddest things I've heard in y life. I'd like to stop listening to it. But I can't.
@Magensrael20245 ай бұрын
whats sad is that who knows how bob pictured these songs to be,they were supposed to be lost tapes but someone brang them lyrics to life in there own way smh no one will ever know how them lyrics were sppose to be put on music,like a ghost project,dope thats for sure especially with a legends lost but found lyrics
@Magensrael20245 ай бұрын
what better way to do it,instead of remaking songs he did already, he left a treasure so they can figure out what and how to do it smh like a hidden song puzzle,the creaters that were in the backround of this idea knew it was a game that was worth bringing to life and they chose the right musicians

If you watched the documentary, T-Bone Burnette told her there were enough versions of that set of lyrics recorded and she should select something else... but Marcus Mumford stepped up and told her to stick with it! To think, this song almost didn't happen!!!
