I stop eating out and going out to bars. I started doing long walks with my dog. It help me clear my mind and gave me something free to do. So far I have lost 30 pounds and I'm down 5,000 dollars in debt. It's not just about finance. It's about making yourself healthy inside it now.

Where are all those clowns who says "marriage never works and blah blah blah". Marriages work because of intentionality, communication and relationships. They stayed together through the thick and thin.
@alicel39924 жыл бұрын
Communication is the key. If you can talk, honestly, open up, it can happen BUT it takes BOTH parties. It won't work __at least in my case__ if only one person shares and the other clams up. Good job to them.

I’m chugging along on baby step 2. (one debt snowball victory so far) I’ve also quit playing the lottery cold turkey and I’ve lost 40 pounds so far, and I’m only in month 3. I’d love to come do my scream when that time comes, my numbers aren’t as large with the debt or the income as most of these people but I’m making it happen!

Yes, it worked. I do not live paycheck to paycheck. I became more intentional with my Money. I paid off 20k and I now have 20k again due to being intentional with my money. It’s not easy but you can do it. 😀

Very good story. As for weight loss.... I found out that losing weight is hard, but you have to believe in yourself that what your discipline is to get there is worth the health benefits. After 2-3 weeks of reduced caloric intake and walking 7 days a week...pounds started shedding...and before you know it, it is routine. Believe in yourself, it works!

The only thing I don't understand about the Ramsey method is lack of credit. When you have good credit, don't you save money on loan interest for your house? If you are gonna buy a house anyway....

@Nombuso14 жыл бұрын
It's called instant gratification combined with easy access to credit as well as lack of financial knowledge!! No one is taught finances everyone learns as they go!!
@JTDyer214 жыл бұрын
@@Nombuso1, yes it is sad that most people have no understanding on how to manage money but most of it comes down to sacrifice. Debt is much more enticing and convenient. Saving up to pay cash is much more difficult and a real inconvenience. It takes hard work and sacrifice to pay cash and stay out of debt. Most people don't want to live that way cause it requires too much sacrifice.

Then don’t listen or use the anger to motivate you to raise your income. It’s possible. We all just have to work for what we want.

But their debt has to be much larger than yours. Sure their shovel is bigger, but their hole is bigger too
@jessy66037 жыл бұрын
I get everything about paying off other loans. But why sell your house? You still have to pay rent right . The point of being debt free is not only to have financial pressures and get financial stability , also to build net worth . I mean you build equity in your house. MOre than half of our house is paid off now. We would finish our house payments in next 5 years.. Then we would have our house 400k worth to our name . But if they sold their house and pay rent what's the point ?
@katelynbendinsky50807 жыл бұрын
They had too much house for their income most likely & now they can buy something more affordable for them.
@roxannegordon61626 жыл бұрын
These debt screams are silly. As soon as they say: "WE"....I tend to click off....and especially when their income is "started at 90K then WE made 145K......" good bye. I wouldn't have any debt either if I had that much money. Show me real people: 50K is the average I hear, but not on this show.
@rb74545 жыл бұрын
Roxanne Gordon because you need to HUSTLE to get your income up! We are hustling here to keep getting our income up, wife and I work 7 days a week, 3 jobs each. Yeah. Hustling is the secret!!!! No breaks until The finish line!
