I think the passive is solid actually. Lost Prayer works really well with units that reward the player by not swaping characters. For example, Ningguang and Yanfei have a very selfish playstyle cuz you need to spend a lot of time in battle so you can gain those jade stars or scarlet seals, which means that preferably you would activate all of your supports' abilities and then swaping to your main dps, whom will stay a lot of time in the field and actually benefit a lot from the passive. That's why the lost prayer is their (ning and yanfei) best weapon currently :p

Yeah most end game content right now is designed so that if you do have to swap off using one of them as main dps you will fail anyway. So set up quickly swap over and while stacks build you benefit from supports. Once stacks are built you should be OK and if another rotation is needed you still gain the buffs from supports. Any 5* weapon with crit stats is too good to not use. Except poor kokomi I guess.

@@milkflys This! Yanfei IS very selfish when played correctly. You could switch off if you plan to end the battle with other other units in your team (like an invested Zhongli meteor or something) but generally once her burst is up you want to stay on as long as possible.

@@marcel2827 it's possible, childe's won't be an issue whatsoever, same with hu tao since both use their E+ normal/CA to apply it. Yoimiya and qiqi apply mark through burst, though I believe yoimiya will be easy to manage because of low burst cost and hu tao also providing particles. He would have a hard time managing ER on qiqi though.(high energy cost and producing low particles by herself)

​@@mik0zlove358 For Klee both are good Lost prayers is just generally better for catalyst. since if you don't own Zongli the movement speed is extremely Good. 10% mspeed also can affect animation which increases atk speed. doesn't work on Klee tho. The only catalyst worth getting is Lost Prayer. cuz of crit rate substat which makes building characters relatively less of a pain. also if you stack up on the Elemental Goblet the EM gain is quite high. the 160% atk dmg from Atlas is trash cuz it's physical damage.

I ran Ningguang as my main DPS until I got Eula, Lost Prayer works really well with her as she can stay on field due to her shielding. Combine her with Albedo for extra damage/survivability. I'm not exactly a min/max player though.

It's the only good catalyst tbh. Atlas has high atk% but lacks on crit rate substat so unless you're into grinding artifacts it's very bad. With Lost prayers you can allocate other stats cuz it's crit rate. Although if your min maxing it's best for Ningguang and Yanfei. since movement speed buff actually helps them a lot.

Moga keep this in mind so next time you dont get confused with any weapon passives. Unless stated otherwise all weapon,artifact and character passives do not work off field or when the character isnt active. This includes something like th Viridiscent Venerer set, even if u venti ult and it swirls an element, if he wasnt on field the passive does not activate.

The passive _will keep going_ after you swap your anemo character, but _it won't activate_ if the swirls occurs when the anemo character isn't on the field. That totally makes sense and I'm pretty sure he's right. So I guess you can listen to your own advice here. I use lost prayers on klee, it's great when you use her as a main dps, it just sucks that the stacks reset everytime you swap her out. For me like it would be better if like there's a time limit until the stack is gone like "if the character is out of the field for more than 10 seconds the stacks reset" something like that I guess.

catalyst characters that can stay on the field long enough to utilize the max potential of this weapon become beasts, like wtffff personally, i run dps barbara with lost prayers because of the fact that it's not necessary to switch out at any time. if you get hurt playing an actual main damage-dealer character, lets say xiao, you have to do a lot of switching, especially when he needs to heal. but for barbara you don't need to switch out to often to heal, just use her E and it will not only heal you, but give you hydro dmg bonus LOL yea, i know she's not the most optimal character to deal damage with, and the strategies i use to while playing as her aren't the best, but it's so funny LMAO

The passive works when you use auto attacks. Those little orbs show how many stacks you have. It´s actually really good and builds up extremely fast. With Klee I only have to use 4 autos and she has the bonus elemental damage for several seconds. Even once it’s worn off, getting it again only takes a few seconds and trust me, 32% elemental damage is nothing to scoff at. Kinda disappointed by this video and wish more research had been done before making assumptions and statements. 😕

This would fit yanfei really well, she wont be on field for 16 secs before battle but she will be on field for 16 secs after using xingqui burst beidou burst and xiangling burst, then she will be able to have more consistent sustained damage.

For numbers a r5 atlas will do roughly the same as a r1 lost prayer the r5 width flute 2 is just under a r5 lost prayer. I think lost prayer is actually an insanely good item, but it’s power isn’t playing solo but in coop. That way you can get reactions well keeping maximum stacks. I don’t have c2 klee but I think her c2 and c6 promote party play as well.

If i were to build a team with knowledge that my main dps need alot of floor time. Long lasting off-field supports, xing albedo and an E focus Raiden. Per rotationi think the damage output would be insane!

Lost Prayer is actually a great catalyst even at R1. I use it on my Sucrose as well as Yanfei and they wreck shop with it. Works best in co-op where you can have multiple people giving you elements to work with, but it's fine on its own - decent damage and decent crit rate even at 0 stacks. It's a reliable option at worst and an amazing multiplayer synergy weapon at best.

I initially thought that the character banner didn't carry over pity (there was a bit of confusion about that). I was halfway to my third 5 star when I finally realized that. My first 2 5 stars that I got were Lost Prayer and then Skyward Atlas. My only catalyst users (I didn't get any new characters until I switched to character banner and got Diona and then we got Fischl for free) were Lisa and Barbara. My early luck was terrible. The balls behind the character belong to the passive of the book, each ball means one stack. So basically, you want to left click and the balls will appear with the weapon behind the book user, even in the Abyss though. That's how you know how many stacks you have already, it works just like the BP claymore's passive.

I have this weapon and I put it on my yanfei. My yanfei can do around 15k-20k at 3 stacks from her passive and 4 set wanderer at talent lvl 8, and around 40k for vaporize with xingqiu. I believe I can go 60k+ if I got benny buff and zhongli shield.
