Always big thanks for the updates jay! I know your a busy man. Helps alot of us. Been a super dry season! I hear lake erie tribs in PA have been really effected by this low, warm water. Cant wait to get out to the oak again. Good luck out there fellas and ladies! 🐟🎣

Fished the salmon yesterday Nov 16 between skeeters place and the railroad bridge. Had a couple hook ups on chartreuse glo bugs my buddy landed one and I lost one due to my laziness of tying a sub par knot. Always appreciate your videos Jay.

Thanks as always for your report and insight, Jay. You'd mentioned fly tying requests. I was thinking that some of the less popular but effective wet flies would be good for us to learn about.

Thanks Jay!! We're headed up tomorrow a.m. for 5 days. It's always been high water when we come up so this should be interesting. We shall give it a go and pray for rain. All the tribs are so low I've never seen it this bad this time of yr

Returned from fishing western NY Ontario tribs late last week and I rate the legit catching as fair compared to years past. Tough conditions with pretty heavy pressure and low clear flows made for skittish fish. Stealth approaches, downsized patterns and natural colors were key to legit hookups. Definitely an egg bite at the moment. Surprised by the lack of salmon carcasses and dead eggs in streams. Most Kings were green and on the move with minimal spawning behaviour. More female Browns than males with the males on the smaller size (20-22"). Word was that the larger males were removed during the Veteran's Day weekend. Unfortunately, most observed hooked and landed fish were foul hooked. Sad. Was able to land 8 fish over 3 days, but had to cover lots of water and be very deliberate on approaches. The lack of Steelhead continues the trend of the last 6-7 years in these western NY tribs during November. I miss the days where we had multiple Steelhead hookups mixed in with the Browns. There are fish, just not numbers. Cover lots of water, but take time to carefully scan deeper slots and any woody debris in stream where they feel less vulernable. Tight lines.
