Yeh you know i think it really intresting moment of this movie.The russian literature has ones story(sorrow cause of mind).And i think it about John Locke,he too difficult,strange man with a lot of complexes.He could not fashionate his own life due to regular depressions and in consequence wrong action but if talk about his vision of global lifes processes,his philosophical talent he was on another level. And the most important i think that this man had the worst and miserable life before planecrush among all others on the island.And cause of it he could feel and see what the other could not or did not want.

I don't know if the writers had planned his character that far but knowing Locke's end that line is, just, wow. He may not have "survived" to the end but he lived on through Jack and his memory would live on in Hugo. He followed destiny, finally on the island he was no longer just "surviving."

Locke died outside the island, despite never wanting to walk away from it, with all his beliefs gone and thinking none of it mattered; and Jack died inside the island, despite always wanting to escape form it, knowing that everything happened for a reason. When people complain about Lost and specifically about how the ending "sucked", it's clear they never got the show at all: If by the end you're disappointed the show never explained how the (foot of the) statue got on the island, you completely missed the point. Lost has always been about the characters. All the mysteries are just the backdrop against which these characters develop. At its core, it's more a character driven drama than anything else.

It’s pretty much impossible for two people to ever relate or change their worldview when they are this far apart on the spectrum of science/logic vs faith/destiny. One has spent his entire adult life in the most science-based and evidence-based and technical field in the world. The other had paralyzed legs for years and is now walking around. And the only available explanation for his recovery is that he was in a plane crash. And this difference in beliefs is a slam dunk for writing really interesting conflicts, like this scene. How can you choose to not agree with a science genius doctor? But how can you choose to not agree with a paralyzed guy who now has working legs.

@anitelufalemei420027 күн бұрын
Because there’s other pieces of evidence way more convincing than Locke being a cripple. For example the fact Desmond of all people is inside the hatch. A person jack has met in his past. I think that’s the moment jack truly started to believe and even agrees to press the button with Locke. Because jack knows there’s no way all of this is by chance.

Didn't care for Sawyer, Charlie or Micheal(although even they had some good moments). Didn't care that much for the females strangely enough(considering I am one lol). They were just written badly imo. Juliet and Sun(even though I had a few issues with what happened with Jin in flashbacks) I liked okay. Clair could get on your nerves a bit. @WilhelmRyan815 the walt and pregnant storyline is very important in the final season. Not directly, but there significance and what they represet are. Why women die while pregnant is directly related to the source. And to be special like Walt means you are the natural candidate for protector. MiB was also "special" like Walt. Thats why Mother wanted Mib to be protector. I can go into more detail, but thats the basic in how everything in lost connects.
