Jin should have abandoned Sun and preferred the company of animals, just as Gullinver avoided the presence of his family and preferred horses. The horses offered Gulliver more pleasant company than his family. What use was Sun to him? None. She was just a nuisance in his life.

When I was younger that scene made Sun look pretty bad, cause she obviously lied to Jin when saying that she hadn't been with another man. However, I speak Korean now, and in Korean she literally says "To me there is only you" - which is not as much a lie imo. It makes it sound like she is emotionally commited only to Jin (which is true). I mean, she still cheated on him of course, but at least she didn't lie to his face like the subtitles suggest.
