What really makes my heart ache is looking through my youtube playlists and see "7 videos have been deleted from this playlist". I just know it's stuff that wasn't really well known, so there is a chance that it was something that now turned into lost media. I wish youtube would at least tell me the title of the video.

it's really sad knowing that there's millions of lost vocaloid songs out there that a lot of people don't even know. i know a lot of lost songs that i'll probably never listen to again, and my mentor has a lot of lost vocaloid music on her phone from as early as 2009 sakura no ame by halyosy is an interesting but sad song that would be played whenever a niconico upload was deleted and i think it's still pretty fitting considering it's theme of graduation and inevitable parting ways, and knowing niconico was the original hub for vocaloid content, it's just a somber feeling

Actually there’s been a lot of Masa’s older songs dug up even in the past year a version of crystal diva with the MV was found, There’s quite the team looking to find this stuff. Masa has a tendency to just purge songs he’s embarrassed about. Even recently a handful were deleted but luckily archived including his bad apple and senbonzakura remake, the remake of bunker buster and police no.13.

While not quite the Luka concept art we might hope for, KEI did create 'if' versions of Luka and Rin/Len, as well as the Miku one, which may be the best indicator as to what she may have looked like. Neat video, always find the "lost"/"what could have been" aspects of VOCALOID/Vocal Synths interesting

Some more random things about masa lost media: he actually started posting in November of 2010 and he unfortunately has way more lost songs than 3 these include Kagome uta Crystal diva 1 Crystal diva 2 Don't say goodbye Interface Medical wedding 2winkle star and katsushika rhapsody And the medical wedding KZbin upload I'm 90% sure that was just a reupload of the clip except it had medical weddings full name Oh and finally no you can't use a 2011 nnd account or earlier to watch interface 😭👍

I lay awake at night, troubled at just how many early vocaloid songs may have been lost to time. Since YT and niconico were new when vocaloid first came out, lots of stuff could’ve been removed without being archived, before being forgotten completely. I remember about a decade ago a mass orchestrated false copyright striking happening on YT that caused a notable number of vocaloid videos to just… vanish.

A well known (mostly in Japan) vtuber who makes horror games was a very obscure vocaloid producer named Eroruya KousenP whose work is semi-lost. She deleted all her videos and most accounts after starting her vtuber activities. Most of her work is archived but there’s a lost music video for a Halloween song and a few songs. I have a playlist of what has been reuploaded on KZbin. There’s a lot that hasn’t been put on KZbin but is on BiliBili. I’m a massive fan of her and her new vtuber persona so I’ll take any chance to talk about her.

Really interesting insight into Vocaloid lost media...that reminds me of some Vocaloid lost media of my own. A few years ago on eBay I saw a prototype figure of the Hatsune Miku Funko Pop. It was unpainted and was only around $12.00. I wish I bought it when it was available because I haven't seen anything online about this prototype and the only thing similar was a Megurine Luka Funko Pop prototype.

I remember I knew someone on Scratch which was actually a site for younger people to learn how to program but a lot of people used it for meeting other people of the same interests as well as posting art and lazily made projects. (ahem, I did too) This specific person made a project on scratch that introduced all of the existing Vocaloids that time, especially unreleased ones, also showing clips of songs they were used in. I was very active around 2015-2017 (I was 9 to 11 years old that time and did a lot of stupid stuff) so I believe it was made around that time. I often got into stupid conflicts with other kids so I was often banned on that site... Lol

I love vocaloid lost media but I know that not all of it can be found, one of my favorite english Kaito songs got deleted/delisted because of drama with the collabrator and producer but thankfully a Dex cover is still on YT to enjoy it. Hoping that the lost MASA songs get found despite the community stance on him now, Medical wedding sounded really interesting from the snippet found so far.

This is pretty good for a first video! If you allow some constructive criticism, I think you could've researched it a bit more so you'd have less I-don't-knows. The pacing was a bit off and by that I mean you left some tiny 🤏gaps of silence here and there. The audio is a bit low quality, I assume you recorded with a phone or a pair of cabled earphones with the tiny mic. Don't worry about this last one, you can buy usb mics for pretty cheap, don't feel pressured to go for a biiiig expensive upgrade right away. You did a great job gathering and arranging info! Just keep making vids and you'll be more experienced with each vid ^^ I think you can most certainly find an audience for this type of vids.

Well the ‘lost media’ subject would become larger when you started including Vsingers (Previously known as Vocoloid China) and their songs perspective created by Chinese songwriters. Regardless of what platform you go that Vocoloid is a topic, None seams to mention Vsingers or Chinese Vocoloid songs altogether

Maybe Vsinger isn't as popular as before but i myself wouldn't consider them "lost media". They might not be that recognizable for the majority of the fandom but they are actually still relevant in the chinese fandom, Luo was even featured in this year's BML (Bilibili Macro Link, sort of like a chinese Nico Nico Cho Party) along with MIku and even still gets featured in commercials.

I'm not very far into the video but I'm very sure the english voicebank for SeeU is canceled, not just because she "wasn't really popular" or for "cultural differences", China and Japan are also very different and Luo Tianyi is very popular, the main reason for the cancelation, I think, was because her voice provider was a criminal, yeah, she blackmailed a male actor and she got time in jail from what I understand, so, yeah, no, that's cancelled forever. PS: That voice provider is also the reason why Hybe (BigHit) doesn't create girl groups and uses their subsediaries to debut them, because they got the shitty lottery and decided "yeah no we're not doing this again"

SeeU's voice bank was put on a suspended production in 2013, Dahee Kim got arrested months later in August 2014. It is a very likely possibility that the voice bank was cancelled due to the controversy in 2014

It's almost always been Yamaha's dream to revive dead singers and turn them into Vocaloids. It happened with singer Hide as a private Vocaloid (and he's objectively the best one), and it happened with Hibari Misora in a public performance, hologram included. I'm fine with people who were close with the late singer asking for a private Vocaloid, like what they did with Uekiloid and Hide. But I don't think it's right to make a dead singer's voice public for anyone to use. I love David Bowie, but I would not want to use his voice as an AI or Vocaloid.

Why did Masa delete those songs in the first place? Also, would be cool if you gave a link to that SeeU comic website that had the download button. I could test it on a virtual or dummy PC to see if it's a safe and/or legit download. I always volunteer for things like this (I love lost media).
