Never in my life I have rewatched a show this many times. I admit I have been rewatching over and over since the beginning and noticing more and more details in every aspect of the show including the framing of scenes, interacting of the acters, music, and clothing... There are no fillers. Every scene is worth savoring. I'm so impressed!!!

The drama is not only an excellent piece of show. But come along with magnificent views,bckground n music n theme songs that complement the whole drama that comes with fine showmanship fr Yangzi n her costars which each possessed their own unique characters. The best historical drama in recent years. Every epi is an interesting part.❤👍👍

What a really well done, beautifully enacted , thought provoking and entertaining story this has been ! Every body was excellent in their part. It was visually colorful and interesting.... the music was relevant and lovely. I particularly thought the use of slow motion photography added visual and emotional substance to the scenes. There is a certain level of co operation that has to happen on a set , to create such an impressive avenue through which everyone watching ...can suspend their reality ...and go to a place where nine headed dragons fly on giant birds and people change shape by will . Really well done! Season 1 has 8 parts and they are well worth watching. Season 2 has been filmed .....but is being held back .

I watched this over and over. Unfortunately I loved all the characters except Jing. He was so sweet and I wanted to see him do well but I pretty much fast forwarded through all their interactions. I tied but I couldn’t make myself be interested. No hate on the character or actor. I love Deng Wei just couldn’t get into it. Unfortunately I couldn’t wait for season 2 , so I searched until I found the novel. I have never been so heartbroken by a series. I’ve have been watching KC dramas for over 15 years. Xiang Liu’s ending broke my heart and it hurt deep in my soul. And the fact that she never knew how he felt. I sincerely regret starting this one. Thus I will delete any trace of ever watching it. I will never come back to this one. I will never watch another with out checking out the ending. first. So I won’t be present for Season 2. I don’t think my heart can take it. But I will be binging Tian Jianci’s career. He’s so talented. I can imagine he unintentionally intimidates during fan meets and interviews because he’s so multi talented and confident. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed but the ending is too heartbreaking for me and I can’t fly with it. I may find the episode when he stops the wedding. But I don’t want to accidentally invest. I only read a few chapters. The last one and the one when he saved her life again and erased the mirror. It was too much for me. It broke me😂😂. So I’m leaving with the best memories.. I’ll definitely be following Tian Jianci. And looking forward to seeing all the other actors other series. RIP! 😭 😂

I am not a Yang Zi fan...she is not attractive and her acting ability is not good...the worst thing she does is smile into the camera (which makes her look as if she is in pain). I have put off watching this because she is in it...but, I do like the starring male actors. I hope she does not bring down this video movie as she did in `Ashes of Love`.
