Lost your upper Right 3 voice on genos? Split function could be turned on.

This is a tutorial to show you how to use and turn off Right 3 split on the Genos. Maybe you can't hear your upper 3 voice - this could be the solution for you.

Thank you for helping me with some more homework, I finally got around to solving another mystery I really should have looked into long ago. The handbook is not easy to get your head around when it comes to splits but it seems splits are easy when you know how! However, this did leave me with one quandary which others may or may not also have; every time I used a new registration, the splits reverted to those saved with the registration. Because I will never use the third voice in isolation, I wanted to ensure that, at all times, all three r/h voices were available right across the main keyboard. A quick look across some forums and the answer is the parameter lock. Most of you will know that, but in case you didn't: set up the splits the way you want them, exit, go to menu/utility/parameter lock and tick split point, then exit again. The splits will not change again no matter what registration you play, unless you go back to the split menu and physically change them. If you do change the settings, the change you make will replace the parameters you previously locked in. I hope that hasn't just confused all your followers Leigh, if you think I have please feel free to delete this post.

Hi Leigh all sorted now contacted the dealer . Did a soft reset all good to go got voice 3 back Once again thank you. .

Great video thank you but I still have no sound on voice 3 I have genos 2 and tried most things any suggestions of what to do next .I would be very grateful and I find your videos very helpful. We did meet a few year ago. Thank you

Hello Janet if you dont hear a voice on right three - then you have split point on Right 3 set. Go to Menu - Page 1 - Fingering and split. Look at the split for right three - make sure its set the same as R1 and R2 - then it will play.

@@LeighWilbraham morning Leigh thank you for your reply it is still not working I have never had this before and I am not new to genos or any of Yamaha keyboards. The setting are style F2 left F2 and right three f#2. This may have to go back to the dealer as only purchased Christmas .if I put F# 2 to just F# it changes all the rest anyway thank you.

@@janethall9391 I would say give the dealer a call as this is a very odd problem. I would suggest loading a registration and seeing is that changes anything. If you email me direct I’ll try to help you.
