Not sure if you guys cares but if you're stoned like me during the covid times then you can watch pretty much all the new series on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend during the lockdown :)

Thank you so much for a wonderful video on the basics of card making! I have the right products but I've really only made about 25 cards. I feel like I'm not doing something right :) So I'm so glad you are doing this series, it's been very helpful and inspiring!

Love the card... how did your pigment ink dry so fast? I forgot what brand mine is but the ink never dries.. one card I made ages ago I looked at the ink recently and it still smudges?
@lostinpaper7 жыл бұрын
Hi there, the absolute best black (and it comes in other colours too) pigment ink is called Versafine Onyx Black, it's very fast drying for a pigment ink, it works beautifully with pencils and watercolours (although I do let it sit a bit longer or heat set it if I am going to use water near it), it is perfect for embossing too. You can't use it with alcohol markers or on slick surfaces such as acetate. You can even buy it in a cube size which is cheap as chips if you just wanted to give it a try, I use both the large size and the cube size all the time. Hope this is helpful, thanks so much for taking the time to visit me and for leaving such lovely comments. Therese

can i ask where you are from? its hard to get alot of good brand card making products in australia
@lostinpaper8 жыл бұрын
Hi Jayde, I agree, it's very difficult to find good products in the stores in Australia so I buy most of my goodies online. I use a couple of different stores - Scrapbook Boutique / Craftonline and a new one that was recommended to me that I have not yet tried is Auzztrinketsnkraft. You could also try Michelles Cards and Stamps I've bought from them at the Brisbane expo. I also purchase products from America every once and a while. Hope this is helpful. Have a great and crafty day! Therese

I like watching you fussycut but wondered why you don't use dies instead. Very nice beginner card. TFS
@lostinpaper10 жыл бұрын
Hi Tiffany, often I fussy cut because I don't have many dies that match my stamps (ironically I actually have the dies for this one though) but thought as it's a beginner card it was just a way to show that you don't have to have everything and can create with some simple fun products instead. Personally I am a bit picky about which dies I buy and prefer ones that can be used for multiple techniques. Often I also like to fussy cut right up to the edge of the image, especially if I've stamped on design paper like on this card and the dies usually leave a little border. Hope this explains what I am trying to say, thanks so much for your great comments! Therese

For a basic first card, I find that very complicated. Fussy cutting etc.
