Also some lines might fly over their heads as they are references to strictly south African things and that might spoil the experience. So all in all, I don't feel like it is worth analysing aside from the crazy word play which you would have an easy time appreciating on your own

Also swallow refers to a species of birds known in the UK and other countries in Europe as a barn-swallow but in short they call it a swallow - this bird migrates to southern africa in spring (September) and stays there until the end of summer, then migrates back to Europe around April. In the southern hemisphere (Stogie is from South Africa) summer usually spans 3 months: November, December and January.
