Also do you need vaccines before going? How far is Puket to Bangkok? We pretty much want to see Temple's, hut the beach, dance and party where do you suggest we go? (We are very flexible we just want to take in the sights and not be to concerned with a schedule) finally we were going for about 7 days in your opinion how much money do you suggest for everyday expenses do they accept USD? If you care about elephants, please, please, DO NOT RIDE THEM!!! Elephants are not meant to carry humans. Every once in a while would be fine, but the daily weight of people causes long term spinal injuries. They also suffer abuse in the training process to make them submissive. This is becoming well known - Trip Advisor no longer advertises elephant riding attractions. If you would like to see and interact with elephants, there are many elephant refuges in Thailand that allow tourists to come and be around the animals. We (as tourists) have an obligation to travel ethically. That starts with being an informed traveler.

Let's compare loading on the back of horse, comparing to elephant. Average horse weight is 300 kg. and average one man plus a saddle is 85 kg., so horse loading = 28 %. Average elephant weight is 5,000 kg. and average 2 men plus a palanquin is 300 kg., so elephant loading is 6 %. We can see horse suffer more than elephant and no one mention about this.

Elephant trekking is huge business and tourists lap it up for an experience, but it is cruel and if you care about the animals well being, you wouldn't do it. I don't agree with riding either animal. But I understand there are stables where the horses are well looked after and treated well, as there are probably other trekking areas where the elephants are cared for better. The elephant in this video can barely move, that is no life

Horses and elephants are two very different animals. The elephant's back have an outwards hunch, resulting in it's back breaking from any weight being put on them. Do not ride elephants. Ride horses.

I have a very good tip if you guys are planning to do a thailand trip! When I was on Koh Pha Ngan we did a day-trip to the Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park in the west of Koh Pha Ngan. DO IT, just DO IT! You have to climb up to the view point which will take you between 30-40 min. I've never in my life saw such a beautiful view. I think you can also go there by trips from Koh Tao. Christian, if you go back visit this place!

That’s why you gotta experience things for yourself.I’ve been in Thailand now for 16 days.Visit Bangkok,Phuket,Phi Phi,Koh Phangan and Koh Samui.I have enjoyed Koh Samui the most so far.People are friendlier,hotels are better for same price,scooter rental is cheaper without have to leave your paspoort behind and I probably forgot something.I’m 35 traveling alone.Plus if you ever been to Bali don’t expect the Thai to be as nice as the Balinese people(that was for me disappointing).Plus in Bali hotels are better(cleaner nicer rooms for same price)and taxis and scooter rental are cheaper.Been here since 2 January 2020

Went there for a month last year and fell in love with this country. Anyone contemplating on going should stop thinking about it right now and book a ticket immediately. My biggest tip for backpackers is not to pack too much stuff (you dont need more than two or three pairs of clothing) and use booking.com to book one night at every hotel and then negotiate with the hotel, they will often give you a discount up to the amount they would‘ve paid to booking.com anyway. Enjoy your stay!

Next time when you come to Thailand I recommend Phupaphet Cave at Satun province the biggest cave in Thailand and number 4 biggest cave in the world unseen and very beautiful , and when you come to Chiangmai go to Chiangdao Daoluang mountain for trekking to the top of Chiangdao mountain . and ChiangRai go to PhuChifa

You should go to Honduras! I’ve done scuba diving there twice and it is amazing, August is the best times to go. At utila a little party island with great people, landscapes, awesome food, and any type of sea animal. So let’s be honest, Thailand is awesome but don’t exclude Honduras and say “ you don’t even know where that is”.
