Thanks for posting the video. I am doing this identical job on my Gradall 534D-10. I cannot find any helpful items on the web except for yours. I got new OEM hoses and matched them with the damaged hoses before starting. They are the same length and size. I fed them through without any issues. Now that I am ready to attach the ends of the hoses to the fittings, they appear to be about a foot short. They are not twisted and they traverse the pulley side by side. The spring adjustments are completely released. There must be another adjustment I am missing. Did you have to stretch the hoses to get them to attach to the fittings? I am hoping I missed something simple. I moved the boom in and out but that did not help. Please let me know what you learned in this project if you experienced what I am experiencing in putting it back together. I hope you did a video of the reassembly. I'd love to see it.

I did film a second part. The new hoses went in easy. I had them match the length of the old hose but 3/4" shorter. It was just the right length. I did have to completely disconnect the spring tensioner to get the JIC fittings to mate, but after that getting the springs back on was pretty easy. I couldn't find any info on how much tension they should be, I just pulled them back as far as I could with one hand and spun the nut with the other. After that I added 2-3 more rotations. I kept the back cover off for a while and checked the hoses often but they seem alright. If your hose is a foot shorter you could make up some short extensions and add them at the end near the forks. If you added them in where they come into the mast you might have those fitting get caught up in that plastic pulley. Just make sure they're tight so that don't jump off the pulley and get caught up in the steel cable.

@@LostMachine I should have looked at your site before asking for the installation video. Thanks for both the videos. I may have to add some extensions, but it is very frustrating after ordering OEM hoses with original part numbers. They were cheaper than what you had to pay for custom hoses, but your money was the smart money. I have the 534-D10 model with auxiliary power at the forks, so I have four hoses and two spindles in the rear. One of the spindles is locked up, so I am bypassing it and just putting the tilt hoses on the spindle that still spins. I did completely release the spring tensioners and got a little more hose, but still come up short. Makes no sense. Thanks again!

How did you end up resolving the issue?

We are having the same problem. We replaced the hoses and they are binding and being pulled out of the pulley. Need more info.
