I'm a hypocrite because I don't like how the writer butchered the 2nd and 3rd installation of the Hobbit movies despite doing a good job on the first one? The Hobbit trilogy is rubbish and filled with stupid things; An elf falling in love with a dwarf, a lowly Silvan elf healing a morgul wound whereas not even Arwen, a Noldorin, couldn't stop the wound from progressing for Frodo and required the attention of Elrond, how did the orcs even know where the defences of Thranduil's Halls were weakest followed by a stupid barrel battle on the river down to the lake... Also....Wereworms....Why on earth when you have possession of animals like that would you even bother to dig yourself out, OUTSIDE the mountain, while you as easily could dig yourself in, no one would know you'd be there cuz well, you're already inside....And the fucking goats....Oh man....and arrow killing ballistae....Trolls dying by magic cuz Thorin walked outside of the mountain.... The 3rd movie was ridiculous beyond words. The 2nd I could cope with but the 3rd was just utterly rubbish. I liked the book, I liked the first Hobbit movie cuz it stayed close to the book. @matteslambertus76845 жыл бұрын
@@ShantanuSuchil I have called you a hypocrite because you have made your appraisal without any further thought whatsoever. Because you critisise the "buthchering" of the Hobbit do to some female elf, even though you probably likes Legolas appearance or Gandalfs scenes in Dol Guldur, non of which were mentioned in the Book. Almost a third, if not more, was entirely made up by the writers and producers, as much as Peter Jackson himself whilst making and preparing these movies and beside some minor cringes this was done with an outstanding level of thought, quality and detail. Just take a moment and watch this short part about thoughts that were never part of the book: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqG2g42rprNqhdE Much of the improvised and made um content was created to close a sealed ring of content, referring to the Lord of the Rings and preparing its storyline. Now to some of your criteria in detail: - An elven Woman falling in love with a dwarf? Where is the problem? You see how well Legolas disgust towards dwarfes was displayed and at the very end him and Gimli happened to be some of the closest friends Arda had ever seen. - The wound was dealt with a morgul arrow, wetted with morgul poisen. This kind of wound differs strongly from Frodos, which is not only caused by a similar poisened blade, but also a cursed one. A powerfull and anchient weapon from the second age. No comparison to a regular arrow from some Morgul-Orc Marauders. The poisen though was treated with the same kind of herb....so much to detail. - The Barrel race actually was something that kind of was in the books already. There was no way away around it. I agree though, it was a little overdone, but not everything about it. The general fight between the elves and the orcs, chasing after the dwarves was implemented well. Regarding that: - The Orcs never attacked the Thranduils halls, they are impenetrable. The river just was the first and only way that led out of them and the first chance the orcs could pick up to the dwarves again.... nothing illogical about it. - About the wereworms: Tolkien said something about some kind of beasts like that, but I don't quite remember. Either way, there are several reasons why they might not be able to dig into Erebor. First of all the lonely mountain may differ in Quality and density of its minerals and stone. Perhaps the Worms couldn't dig throug it. Second of all they might be frightened of the dragon, that could still be in there. Remember: Even Orcs must be tamed. Noone eccept the Ringghosts are actual slaves to saurons will. At last Azog wantet to take Dale first, then encircle the mountain. The strategic component of the battle was actually layed out quite detailled by Tolkien. You can find interesting videos about that, here on KZbin. - The goats are a stylish and reasonable cavalry. Even men here on earth have used goats to carry luggage and personel. Nothing wrong about it. - The artillery was mechanically doable, fucking badass and awesome. - And at last the Trolls didn't magically die to Thorins appearance, but to Ironfoots Phalanx, tossing their lances into their torsos. I recomment actually watching the movie, befor you loose your head and rent about it.

Isengard by far. Its the first horn we get in the trilogy and it just perfectly illustrates the might and genious of Saruman, the invincibillity of the Uruk-Hai and the danger that they represent. Its our first look at a army built to bring ruin to the world of men and the first deep gasp and realization on the film screen just what the forces of good are up against.

This is top in movies. Outside the movies: 1) Eönwë and The host of the Valar in the War of Wrath. 2) Ar-Pharazôn and the Great Armament. 3) Fingolfin's march at the first Sunrise. Outside horns - Morgoth's cry is unbeatable :)

Think something. The horns here are in different situations. The haradrim are going to charge the enemy like rohan or Erebor's Dwarfs it sounds to give courage to the soldiers. Boromir is sounding the horn asking for help or to prevent an attack, Dale for example. I would like to see the Gondor's horn for a charge or Dale's one. My favorite for example is Haradrim, Erebor and Gondor. U can feel the situation depends on the form makes it sound.

The Horn of Erebor is like the Horn that is sounded from the Kingdom of Heaven, the sound of millions of highly trained warriors in an impenetrable fortress ready to rain down Gods wrath upon its enemy.

It's amazing how something as simple as a horn can help all the unique peoples and cultures in Middle Earth stand out

Picture as a lowly soldier in gondor, just barely getting the last shreds of your courage together thanks to the horns of the Rohirrim, and you get to see those large behemoths in the distance (they're so big you see them BEFORE they sound the horn)... and then that bone-chilling howling shriek of a horn announcing you're dead meat
