dont, just play it online where hes playing, make a deck in ringsDB or use like an existing one, then theres the button "play on dragncards" straight up, just make an acc there too and you can start playing, takes like 10 minutes to setup, and you have all the content unlocked straight away which wouldve been like a thousand dollars lol, you can also invite people there too

I know you uploaded this a while ago, but I'm still trying to figure out how you're paying for everything with multiple spheres using core set cards. I built this deck as you have it laid out on RingsDB but am still struggling. Any advice out there?

It’s all about getting steward of Gondor on Beravor but also leaving a couple of forest spiders engaged with you and letting them beat up on Gloin. Don’t necessarily destroy them. Keep your threat low and build up over a few rounds. Let me know if I can help with further details.

Not a weird request at all. I’m into the idea of playing the game using the original release format. I like the tempo of how cards were released in the first run, for some reason.

Thx for you great video, which I follow as a guide being very new to the game. On about round 5 you revealed a card from encounter deck which was the forest road, and after that discarded a card to increase Eowyn's will power which then resulted that you cleared the then active forest road location. Was that according to the rules? Can you still act in between revealing the card from encounter deck and resolving the quest?

So there are various action windows during the quest phase. There is an action window after staging and before determining quest resolution during which you can do things like Eowyn's or Faramir's action to boost your willpower if needed. nice play, one question is it alowed to bring a ally with e.g stand and fight in the player attack phase in the battle which counts in addition to the attack power because there is a action window direct after 6.8.1 ? thx in advance

Thanks! You can play stand and fight during any action window. There is no restriction. So yes you could bring in an ally before declaring an attack to boost your attack power.

I am new to the game and thinking about buying it, one question, can the game have multiple of the same locations in one single quest?, since multiple of the same locations are in the set, i dont know if that is only for more players games.

Yes. More than one copy of an enemy or location can be in play at one time. Unless the location is “unique” (circular marking next to the name) or just one copy in the deck (but that would normally be a unique card). Welcome to the community!

The bold cards are “unique.” Meaning you can have 3 in your deck but only one allowed in play. Just a helpful way for RingsDB to help players consider that.

Unique cards have a circular symbol before their name on the actual card. Look at Steward of Gondor for instance.

man looking at the new eowyn and frankly how op she is this version of her sucks ass, like she almost solo clears scenarios where theres like a final boss in the end, escape from dol guldur comes to mind, battle of the five armies, battle of carn durn tho admittedly shes not as good in the last one cos it keeps going back and forth between batttle and siege its honestly a crutch, just quest quest quest and at the end just use her ability on the big bad evil guy and basically one shot him with the 10 atk

She’s awesome! Most powerful hero for sure. Love attacking with her and then using her action to bump her attack and ready her. Then she can attack a second enemy. Insane!

@@Copterman i dont think the first attack the bonus damage then tho right? if yes that IS crazy, i think the "ready her" part is there to make it easier so like you dont miss out if you quested that round, honestly that could be removed adding like more skill expression, so you gotta plan the turn youre gonna use the ability and not quest that round, which might make things tighter defo necessary for eowyn

@@starliaghtsz8400 so yes. You can declare and attack against an enemy. During the next immediate action window you can use her action. Then you take out the enemy and she is ready and still boosted for another enemy. Bonkers!

Not according to Tolkien actually. It’s GLO-een. Granted if you say it fast it sounds like groin. Another oft mispronounced name is Dain Ironfoot. Tolkien’s pronunciation is DAH-een. Say it fast and it can sound like dine. Which really wigs me out cause it’s literally spelled like pain. The “een” in both cases is supposed to be fairly short.
