I really wish that Eregion offered some really cool Hollin/Noldor armour designs. I struggle to roll an elf with all the good armour seeming to be light or silvan-esque. I think you get the great-looking shield in Eregion too, not to mention a cool curved Elven blade. Just a really beautiful area rich with history.

Hey Louey , some of those zones you had i havent been to yet (anything after the attack on the gates of Mordor) ive had about a 2 -3 year break (started before Moria about 12 years ago) My Fav Zone is still Ered Luin even though ive done it a thousand times, Bree Land , Moria , Eregion, Trollshaws i enjoy , Everswim i used to hate , but its grown on me and now i enjoy it, Southern Mirkwood is always interesting, and i agree the Great River , has such variation , just makes it realy fun same with enedwaith alot of variation as you said. But 3 places i never skip are Erid Luin , Lone lands , and Moria , not once with any of my 50 odd alts and countless deleted toons. Never skiped those 3. Even if i do the Bree Zone starter , ill often sneak over the Erid luin , get all the traits done then come back lol

I love these videos. Can you do something more specific, like your top 10 spots in LOTRO for certain things? Scenery, farming mobs, quests, etc

Good picks, I always think Forochel is an overrated zone though. My favorite zone is definitely Bree-Land. It's very calm, has ruffians and wild animals to fight, the music is great and it's also very open ended. The Great Barrows also caps it off nicely at the end

Bree is nice! Sometimes I think I underrate the very low level zones just because I am there so frequently with new characters
@thenextbondvillainklaussch32663 жыл бұрын
Yeah i agree , Bree Land has nearly everything , from the marshes , the old forest , and obviously the Barrows , it has it all , and its still the main hub so you could walk through bree town and see anything lol , could have a band playing or anything. I also Love Moria , but again its a massive zone and has a bit of everything.

I genuinely hate Forochel and everything it has to offer. But then I hate all snowy maps… I just hate snow more than Anakin hates sand.

I love the landscape lighting of Eregion. Tolkin in "The Fellowship of the Ring" describes how the area is overcast, and they developers really did capture that with the soft lighting. For my favorite zone I would have to say, the North Downs. You have the small elf and dwarf settlements. Giants, Trolls, Drakes. For land features, you have the plains, and light forests. I would love to hear what your top 7 quest chains are or what are 7 quests not to miss doing in LOTRO.

Top 7 quest chains (/quests) would be interesting to think about!

north downs gets too much hate. i actually love that zone. it feels huge. there is alot going on. the human, elf, and dwarf settlements are great. there are sone really fun quests- group and solo. fornost is there. so much history and lore. maybe people hate it because its too big, otherwise I dont understand the arguements against it.

It is sooo hard to pick a few "best" zones. Bree-Land was nice....but then I came to Lone Lands and was stunned....and then the troll shaws. Nostalgia kicks right in. But I think, besides all of Moria, my #1 Zone ist Misty Mountains. Helegrod, the snow and Bisil Bloodaxe (spend hundreds of hours waiting for him:)) Man, I miss this beautiful game!

Hi Louie, great vid. It’s amazing how different lotro players are, as an example I did not like forochel and do everything I can to avoid it. I agree eregion is a fun zone I don’t know if it’s my number one but it’s definitely a great zone. I’m still partial to Moria myself but that’s multiple zones so it’s hard to just pick one. Anyways thumbs up

Louey, I see people move alot like you are doing during combat. Is there a benefit to this? With my RK moving seems to cancel alot of abilities. Could you talk a little bit about that? Also what plugins are you using on your UI espectically in the RK red line guide, there is a sand timer which looks interesting. Thanks, keep up the good work!
@Louey73 жыл бұрын
Sometimes there is. Kiting in general can let you get out of melee range. But when you move, sometimes you can mess up the enemies attacks, such as temporarily moving out of their melee range so they miss an auto-attack, or something like that. Otherwise, it's also fun to move. With yellow RK, they can move while attacking with the no-induction abilities, if that is what you mean? With fire/red line all the induction abilities can't be used while moving. For the hour glass, that is an in-game option that I don't use any more - something like 'show skill queue' is what it is called!

😢😢😢😢 one of the reasons I came to watch this one again , was to see the old enedwaith map, it was soooooo beautiful, so fun, and now it is just trash, it's absolutely garbage 😢😢😢, imagine all the beautiful maps as ugly as this new one 😢
