Great video guys 14 points and you find the pot of gold! Last week my son and I got a 20+lb bag each in 2 hours from 3:30 to 5:30pm. Fished all day at 9 optimal primary and secondary points and got nothing to speak of. At 3pm we went back to what we thought was the best-looking point, nice transition and near a well-known spawning ground. The bite had finally turned on. This further cements the theory for me that finding fish and the pattern is 99% of the game. Here's the kicker and the 1% for that day: A trout bank fisherman caught a 15.4 lb largemouth bass using 'powerball eggs'' whatever the hell those are. I guess I'm going to have to add Powerball eggs to my shallow water day box...lol
@Wired2Fish7 жыл бұрын
That's awesome. Such a good feeling when you just keep working and looking and finally put it all together and figure how to get them to fire. Yeah pretty crazy catch on that big bass. Our theory is a trout flashed on the poweregg and the huge bass was reacting to the trout not the egg.

That's awesome that's at Ky lake I'm in Ky that gives me hope there starting to move up, we got hit with a bunch of rain so I'd say it will be another week before the water starts clearing up from chocolate milk
@Wired2Fish7 жыл бұрын
Chocolate milk isn't always terrible. I just get shallower. They will get right on the rocks. But yeah we're about to get blowed out now too. So we'll see. Thanks for watching!

Heck of a day right there. That the first consistent bite yall got on so far this year? I love getting bit on a shallow plug.
@gypsygypsy71857 жыл бұрын
Man that one fish hit it right in the front of the bait !!! They was hitting
@Wired2Fish7 жыл бұрын
We were pretty surprised how well they bit with such harsh conditions. Cold, sleet, wind, rain and it was February.

Wired2Fish you know I think winter fishing in the right time could be some of the best fishing What size line was y'all slinging and witch do you think was getting better bites 10-12 or 14
@Wired2Fish7 жыл бұрын
We both used 12-pound fluorocarbon for most of the day. He was using 8-pound on a spinning rod in the very beginning. I used 10-pound a little bit. But 12-pound on these smaller flat sided and small finesse crankbaits for winter fishing is pretty staple for us in dirty water. When we move up to square bills we will sometimes use 14-pound around a lot of cover. But 12-pound most of the time.

love your videos. how do you guys feel about Asian carp having effects on bass fishing on kentucky lake?
@Wired2Fish7 жыл бұрын
Yong Choe thanks. The carp have and will continue to change our ecosystem. It doesn’t mean we won’t catch bass but we will have to continue to adapt to rapidly changing windows. - Jason

its not a bad bait, the funny part was the shameless product plugging
@michaelmesser45557 жыл бұрын
No offense but where is the why u fished this shad dancer and where. All i see is bill dance wannabes. If i wanna see a guy catch nothing but fish then id just record bill dance and hank. Even they tried explain where and why while selling a lure
@mr.fatbasstard6487 жыл бұрын
Michael messer if you read the video description a follow-up 'where and why' companion video is coming. I believe this video is a response to Comment Complainers who politely(?) recommend that they 'shut-up and just fish'! Stick with them, I am sure your going to get their personal opinion on 'where and why' now that they have provided the 'shut-up and just fish' video requests! Personally I am with you, I'd like to see it all in one video but KZbin research discloses that most KZbin video viewers can't seem to get past 10 minutes of fishing 411for whatever reason.

bill dance just films in private pits in the summer. wired 2 fish makes videos on a heavily pressured reservoir at all times of the year. the water is cold so they are using subtle action tight wobble/wiggle cranks.
