I am a grain who will be 47 later this month (January). I love the NerdE channels. (I'm also a crazy cat lady who has no cats so judge accordingly 😸). Fun fact: Matryoshka dolls are also sometimes called "nesting dolls" (as they nest one into the next). I used to have a collection but got rid of most of them because of moving and fun things like that.

Another member of the elder club here, closing in on 57! :) Your channels are actually super educational, and many of the crafts are not kid-oriented at all, like the resin stuff. Cash or Trash is awesome for crafty parents/grandparents looking where to put their $$. Shame that collecting toys/dolls/figurines (I have all those things, too, and watch cartoons and anime, and read comic books) lumps a channel like this with real kids channels. Fine line between kid-oriented and family friendly, I guess.

SOMEONE PLEASE LIKE THIS SO JACKIE CAN SEE THIS! Amigurumis are not recommended for true beginners. You need to learn how to make a scarf before you go onto something like the dragon. Please practice prior to crocheting the dragon.

It's very kind of you worrying about her future experience with crocheting this kit. I understand your worry, but I think she'll be fine. As Canis above said, the kits usually explanies the basics pretty good and there are also plenty of videos online to check out too 😊 I'm waiting eagerly for Jackie to review this kit, as I am a crocheter myself, and I hope she'll find it fun and rewarding 😁

I dunno, I started crocheting with Amigurumi as I had no interest in scarfs. I didn't even use an easy kit. I just found a pattern I liked and the used KZbin to teach me all the stiches as a I went.

Jackie, lovely video, all the people who made gifts are so talented 💗💗 also everone, this is very random but I have an anime recommendation, it's Hoshiai no Sora and it is really touching, it really needs support to get a season 2, so please if anyone is interested give it a try. It's a sports anime except it's far more than that it deals with very real issues like, abuse, mental health and respectfully potrays the LGBT community with 2 of it's characters. It really really deserves more support.

Jackie, if the pictures you get have creases & wrinkles, you can try ironing them. Place between 2 clean sheets of paper, cover with a dish towel, spray very lightly with water & iron at a medium-low heat setting. You might want to put a piece of corrigated cardboard under the whole thing depending on what surface you iron on. BTW, i'm almost 63, so i bring up the average age of your viewers by a fair bit. 😁

Oh no...I seen the amigurumi dragon kit and I have so much sympathy for you lol. I regularly make crochet items, including small toys and if you have never done crochet before, starting with a small 3d item is torture on your brain, but your hands as well! If you tackle it, take it slow so you don't strain your hands!
