Lots of fish means bigger fish behind!

Fishing off the flats using a kayak can prove effective around deep channels that are flushed with the big tides. Schools of salmon usually attract bigger, teethier fish, especially around this time of year.

We went to thompson today, got a few yfw, when we back to the beach, a shark around us for 20mins, maybe a bronze, 1m length, minimum distance only half metre... i try to use a whiting as a bait, but didn t work. i will try next time.

@@Strontyum EYE drive my RACECAR following a RADAR to locations then get in my KAYAK which sits LEVEL in the water and REFER to my gps. You made me do that🙄😔😅 What do you mean you don't touch the stuff? You must wash yourself once a month or so 🤷‍♂️🤪

I notice you do not use an anchor trolley. I use one for my anchor & sea anchor, depending on conditions. I really like being able to move the anchor tether from bow to stern & midships to pull the anchor/sea anchor aboard. I am not fussed in encouraging sharks around my kayak. I fish Lake Macquarie NSW & we have a variety of sharks in residence including Bull & Great White. I haven't seen one yet but I am in no hurry to see one at close quarters. At last, my rudder is working & last time I fished I used pedal reverse for the first timed. I also caught a 50cm flathead & that broke 6 weeks of donuts. I enjoyed your video & hope to catch something of quality tomorrow if conditions allow.

Great video. When the tide is high, there's a lot of flatheads around too in that area (if I'm not confused). What sort of spool are you using for your anchor rope?
