Lots of HEADSTONES Discarded on a River Beach...WHY??? We Explain

Dozens of headstones just tossed along the river without a thought? A very disheartening sight to see. What happened to the people who were laid to rest? We're the interred moved to another location?
I will tell the story of what happened here and what happened to the people.

This is extremely saddening. I'm glad you're telling this story. I agree with you totally that this is disgraceful and disgusting what people could be. I'm sickened by this. To the deceased, and their families, my heart goes out to them. To those responsible, they are horrible.

Have you seen JPVideo's video(s) on the Washburn Street Cemetery? It's located in Scranton and there's an entire section at the very back where there are really old tombstones and graves that is no longer maintained. The worst part is that's not just a new development. That section was already abandoned and overgrown back in the 90's when my buddies and I would walk through the cemetery.

I just started to watch this video and already I'm furious. You should contact the local news people and see if they will do a piece on what you found . Maybe they could have the people that run the cemetery and explain why they did this . Very sad ...

Theres another like this in bensalem across from neshaminy mall. Near where the dmv and cvs are. I think i heard that when they were building that end of shopping center and cvs they had to stop because they found unmarked graves. Theres now a small monument between the shopping center and cvs for the people. Not sure of all the details. This is so sad, that humans can be so cold towards others like this. No respect. Thanks for doing this video to hopefully bring some attention. There are, unfortunately, quite a few like this in philly that i have heard of.

And another one hubby didn't tell me about...he grew up in Bensalem. I just asked him about this. He said the shopping center was built over the cemetery (he used to go pool-shooting at Q-Ball too). He said, apparently, the owner of the cemetery passed away and didn't tell anyone there was a cemetery there, and when they started to develop on the land, they were coming across caskets. But he doesn't remember what happened to the headstones.

@@RusticVentures and i believe another i heard of is on dunksferry rd right near century lane. Ive seen the monument for it but not sure where the cemetary is. I believe the bodies were moved here from another area. But i think this one is a potters field type cemetary. You have really peeked my interest now. Gotta do some research and get my stories straight. Haha

I shared this on my facebook page. This is what I said........This is an incredible shame!!! How can anyone just dispose of bodies and use their headstones for "rip rap"! (Even if the bodies were not claimed, they had tombstone markers and should have been moved with the bodies!) It is "slimey", and the only words I have to say are very bad!!! I am crying right now, from hurt and anger!!! It Is A Disgrace of how Humans can be!!! (I hope you don't mind me using some of your words...Random Outdoor Fun...but they are exactly how I would say it...less my swear words.)
