I love watching videos Of old tracks still being used. It seems like they might be abandoned or strewn with trash and dirt and stuff but here comes along a train once in awhile, very cool!

Thank you so much for watching! I enjoy the gritty scenes where rails that otherwise would look abandoned are used. Thanks for watching!

I think it’s even cooler that they only serve a small amount of cars . Such a small industry.

America use to have hundreds more of these little spurs that served small and medium sized businesses. Also glad to see this one still in use!

This track actually does have that abandoned look to it. Glad you were able to catch this as I'm sure the frequency is not very often. There was a small branch on the IHB in Hegewisch IL that looked like this and finally after years of never seeing anything there came two switchers and a modest sized train and I never saw another one after that

It certainly does! When I was a kid I thought it was abandoned. That’s very cool, I have limited IHB experience but it would appear a lot of that industrial traffic has the same energy to it.

@ thanks pal also idk if they’re still there but about 10 minutes ago there was 3 Amtrak engines sitting on the bridge over the Delaware next to route 1 as you come into Jersey out of Morrisville but I couldn’t grab a picture of them

Should there be a buffer car in that consist or was this a "switching move"
@trainutjob19 сағат бұрын
It’s just a quick move from the refinery to the CSAO interchange, I’m not sure how Conrail sets the train up from there.

Railserve only does switching

Really great angle and lighting, honestly captures the "vibe" of the Philly outskirts really well. Could I get your permission to use like, 5 seconds of this footage for a video of mine where I *very* briefly mention swicher engines? I'll credit you of course, because you know, gotta credit the creators
