Summit Racing holds sales from time to time, and around the holiday seasons. Honestly got these for a steal, would definitely keep a lookout if in the market. Although the stopping power is perfectly adequate for normal/spirited driving, I will say at higher rate of speeds I do find myself wanting more - specifically when thrown into abrupt braking situations. After some research however, for the money it will be hard to beat what you'll get from the kit, as one of the other options is a cobra/mach 1/bullitt brake upgrade as they came with bit bigger rotors and pads. This will require however a conversion in the rear - opening up the diff cover, removing the axle, etc. to fit said rotors. Keep in mind, Powerstop actually sells the bigger brake replacement kit as well for those higher performance trim cars - which will technically be inside the 17 inch wheel clearance, but because of this reason it will not fit a V6/GT! Another proven option by enthusiasts is to do a Cadillac ATS 4 piston Brembo front and Ford Taurus rear brake upgrade, a huge improvement - however will also require some modifications.

The website mishap mentioned in the video came from rockauto and its item labelling regarding their fitment based by ABS/Traction Control. The part I purchased based by their labelling was incorrect but I was able to discuss with customer support, and they took down the items at the time. It is however now up again - as it was listed incorrectly before. I would just stay away from rockauto for this and stick to summit racing or NAPA in terms of the correct serial number you need regarding fitment.

Although not shown on image, the grease/lubricant you need to apply along with the install actually comes with the product I believe. If I remember correctly I bought the lubricant separately also, but had no use for it being that one came with the bushings. Didn't lose out on much though, it was only like $4.

Okay, so... for the rear left caliper. The one I received for whatever reason looks closer if not exactly to the slightly bigger calipers that come on the cobra/mach 1/bullitt mustangs - which is due to their slightly bigger diameter rotors. I went back and forth with summit, and was told I'd need to contact powerstop directly; did so - got elevated to the manager who couldn't figure it out, and so she sent me to the supervisor, who also could not verify if the one I got was an error or not. I will share a link to a video that shows the higher performance trim caliper - but the supervisor sent me a picture and casting number of the caliper, but what she sent was only the one part of the caliper which is shared in both versions of the calipers. No idea if this is an error, or if it's because it's remanufactured and does not matter. If I ever get to the bottom of this I will update this section but I have felt that during high speed braking it leaves me wanting more, which could be from the possibility that my rear left is for the higher trim rotors and isn't grabbing my smaller rotors fully.

*Car was just before the cutoff where Ford switched from green (IAT) to gold (HOAT). Car originally had green but was coolant flushed. This is unnecessary and you do not need to do this as they make green coolant that lasts just as long as gold.

Brother man do NOT do it😂 Wish I could tell you otherwise but literally every other video of mine I'm talking bout some new goin on💀 Sure u can cherry pick the low mile unabused ones, but gotta keep in mind with these cars well into their project car age, it's inevitable after 20 or so years things start to go. And that's any car Yes the engine trans are reliable asf and u can run them down literally to the ground - even with issues, but if ur thinking of keeping it for awhile def expect to not go down the road maintenance free
