Hey guys! Today I’m going to show you how to create a macrame circle around a ring. I will show you two different options for tying your cord to the bottom of the ring.

Material:
3mm Single Strand Twisted Cotton String
2.5 inch Metal Ring
2mm and 3mm Twisted Cotton String are available for purchase in my Etsy Shop: www.etsy.com/c...
Start in the middle of your work and tie a double half hitch knot. Continue tying double half hitch knots working down and to the right.
Move to the left side of your work and tie double half hitch knots working down and to the left.
We have now finished attaching the ring at the top of our work. If you like this look you can leave it as is or you can attach the rope at the bottom of the ring. I will show you two different ways to attach the rope at the bottom.
Method #1
Split your cords in half, cross them, and then attach to your ring with double half hitch knots.
Start by attaching the cords from the right to the bottom of the ring on the left.
Now attach the cords from the left to the bottom of the ring on the right.
Method #2
For this method we will cover the full ring in cord. To do so we will tie 3 alternating half hitch knots on both sides of the ring.
We have tied 3 half hitch knots on the left - bring your cords to the back of your work and tie 3 alternating half hitch knots on the right.
To finish it off we will tie a row of double half hitch knots at the bottom of the ring.
Thanks so much for watching!
