Lotus Elise 220 CHASING Mercedes AMG GT-R Nurburgring Nordschleife 7'52'' BTG

Finalmente il primo Under8 con la Nana al Ring :D
Bellissimo inseguimento alla Mercedes AMG GT-R che ha portato, nonostante i vari sorpassi ed il tempo perso, ad un tanto atteso 7.52 BTG!
Si può ancora fare meglio e senza osare troppo nei tratti veloci (onestamente non mi fido li dentro...) si può puntare ad un 7.45.
Che dire la macchina si è comportata alla grande ed è ad oggi sicuramente il mezzo più divertente che abbia mai guidato nell'Inferno Verde!
L'emozione alla fine del giro è stata più forte di quella dopo una gara :D :D :D

Very nice! We both have the same time with Elise at Nürburgring... (I Have done it with 250 Cup with stock suspension).For the next season i plan to upgrade the suspension too, after almost 250 laps it is definitelly needed to make more progress and the wear of the suspension starts to be felt. It can be clearly seen, how your car works well, I cant wait for new suspension setup :D

Hi Ovar, also your laps are cool! :D I have Nitron Clubsport coilovers and it's perfect on the track...but also on the Ring it's very good but only too much harder on the fast sector... But I don't know the track well like you because I have "only" 35/40 laps (maybe 10 with Lotus) on the Nurburgring...but next year I will go again 😎 Which type of tyres do you have?

@@NickS2kItaly Hello Nick, I go with Avon ZZR (A64 compound - medium) I love them, I can highly recommend, but A052 Yoko are perfect too, practically the same level of performance... Do you have the setting of suspension just for Nordschleife? And if yes, where it has been performed? Sometimes there is the problem that the setting good for common racetrack is too much hard for NS. It needs (in many cases) a little bit softer setting. I discuss the best setting with Lotus NS specialists - Komotec and now we are talking about the upgrade to NTR 46 Race 2 way or 3 way. I am waiting for the offer, and we will see... I visit for many years almost only the Nordschleife racetrack :D so I will do the setup just for it here in Komotec. Me and our group from CZ/SK are here almost every month in season, so there is a big chance to meet.

I have A052...pressure of your ZZR? I have a coilover setup for normal trackdays but for Ring I have only changed "clicks". I think that you are right! The best solution is to have a specific setup for Ring...so your solution is the best for sure! Yeah why not! @@NickS2kItaly I am going with (hot) pressure about 1,7-1,8 front and 1,9-2,0 rear like Lotus says. Avon says ideal 1,9 and 2,1 but I feel that less is more. ZZR have stiffer sidewalls, that is what i like on them in comparsion with others too. Thank you Steph 🤚 I have more confidence now with A052. The shoulder is much more stable. And you can push for some laps and the tyres are always good. Toyo is not bad for Nordschleife but not so good like A052 in a "normal" track.

@@NickS2kItaly ok gli darò un occhio.. quando vai in pista in Italia mi fai sapere? tra l'altro ho portato la mia Lotus Elise CR s220 a 250 cv x 904 KG in ordine di marcia e non vedo l'ora di provarla in pista dove ti puoi scatenare.. l'ho tirata a 240 poi ho alzato il piede che ho le gomme che hanno 240 km\h come velocità massima, ma ancora prendeva.. sembra un altra auto in confronto a prima. tra le curve è rimasta il solito fulmine e sul dritto va forte.... il 14 Novembre 2020 dovevo andare a Magione. ma causa covid 19 è saltato tutto se vuoi vedere il video che ho fatto in "autoban" è nella mia pagina.. bella Nick
