Mine is a 2008 Elise SC (S2) with the 1.8liter 2ZZ-GE engine. After, Lotus made the new Elise S (S3) with an other 1.8liter, the 2ZR-FE. 2ZZ-GE engine it's : 220hp to 8000trs/min and 210Nm to 5500trs/min. 2ZR-FE engine it's : 220hp to 6800trs/min and 250Nm to 4600trs/min. It's really not the same thing ;) The new Elise S Cup has the 2ZR-FE engine, it's less sensational than the 2ZZ-GE, but it's more efficient. So the 2 engines have not the same parts. I've a stage 2 exhaust (Janspeed), which was in the car from the factory. And I have AVON ZZR tyres which are very good !

I had historic Lotus race cars in the past but they are so much trouble to run... Anyway your video is a motivation for me and I thank you for it. Keep driving Harry. I changed tyres (Avon ZZR), suspensions (Nitron Race), motor ECU (~240hp), exhaust (just the muffler) and brakes (EBC Ultimax USR discs, Carbone Lorraine RC6 pads, and Motul RBF660 liquid). But I lost time because of Nitron suspensions, I changed now for original suspensions, it's better.

Damn, how come you have so much supercharger noise? On some videos of 220 sc's you can barely hear any whine, and here it's like WEEEEEEEEEEEEEP all the way. I love it and am looking at 220s and would also love the whine.

I'm on track with cars since 2005, and on Nordschleife since 2007 (I've done 108 laps, I do less than 20 laps a year). The Lotus is my first rear Wheel drive car, and I really love this car !!! I've bought it in 2013. At first I wanted an Exige S240, because of the Performance Pack which has all options for track use. But I haven't found a clean Exige, so I took an Elise. It's very good too but I had to do some things for track use. So, nice choice the Exige S240 ;)

Nice lines, fast driving and awesome colour (I'm a bit biased - RS Orange GT3) Here's the backseat driver comment (or you may think another Internet clown).....You really should sort out that hand shuffle you have going on. There's no need for your left hand to move from its "quarter to" position at any time and your right hand only needs to move for gear changes. It will make you faster and is less for your brain to think about when driving. It's just an observation and you're clearly fast and would piss all over me on the Ring, as I've never been on it properly and not in a sportscar.

You can have a taste of it with the Celica GTS; only $5k used. Same engine as N/A Elise, but 500 pounds heavier. But hey, at least you get practicality and space for that weight.
