Lotus Elise Trophy 1st May '17 - Brands Hatch GP - Race 1

3rd ever race meeting and this time out in the Matthew Bentley Racing Lotus Elise. Having not sat in the car before the start of the day and on the wrong tyres qualifying was a disaster as I lined up 14th in class. Thanks to some friendly members of the paddock I was loaned some wets and that's where this story starts...
Strap in cos we're on a rocketship to 2nd place. Then third. Then a snapped throttle cable with a gap of 40 seconds over 4th. A working wiper would have also been handy!
A podium would have been a fairytale but wasn't to be this time
