And again: Excellent work, excellent video. In general, I like the music, but it is sometimes too much in the foreground. Lokking forward for the next part. Cheers, Christian

I am amazed you did not read the instructions in the kit, I did just this and I also had a SU pump handbook, it worked perfectly after I rebuilt it. Took many hours but happy.

There weren’t any instructions with my kit - and it did work once I’d adjusted it properly, as I described in the video.

Thanks for commenting though. I may take these videos down, it seems they may do more harm than good.

I'm glad you didn't and I don't think you should. It's a learning experience.

I have always liked the type 75 Lotus Elite. Your videos are encouraging me to look for one. Quite fancy a 2.2 with aircon. So that is probably rocking horse droppings! Pleased you rebuild the fuel pump rather than changing it. You can run an SU pump dry on the bench as a brief test or run it on the bench with jars of fuel.

1:50 you screw it in until the points stop flip flopping and then out until they just start to flip flop, then wind back out by a further 4 holes on the diaphragm skirt

Really cool collection you have there. They say one man's tat is another man's treasure and I'd say you've definitely got some interesting (somewhat eclectic mix) of treasure there. Love the SD1 and the Gamma. The lotus and the Rancho are also less seen classics. Do you still have the white Lancia from one of your older videos too? Lancia tend to be way cooler than any saloon car has the right to but words can't express why that is.

Thanks Mark! I don’t have the white Dedra any more but I know who does, and he’s been extensively restoring it over the past few years. I’m hoping to go and catch up with it, and him, in a future film hopefully this summer.

Great progress. Its a great feeling when your own efforts bear a positive result isn't it? I also have to echo others sentiments re the music and suggest you turn it down a bit if poss? It's irritating at best. Otherwise, great vid. A decent 2nd field mic may also be a good investment. Just saying. 👍

Thanks Chris. I’ve taken the feedback on the audio (no pun intended) and changed things quite a lot since this video, investing in much better mics and also new hardware and software for editing so I can check levels properly. Sadly it’s not possible to change things retrospectively on YT.

Looking forward to part three. Then only slight criticism i would have is that the balance between your voice and the music was off and your voice was too quiet.

Thanks for the feedback Richie, that’s very helpful. I tend to do the editing with headphones and that can make the audio mix sound different. I may even do a re-upload.
