Lotus Emira Ventilation Problems

Yesterday I switched on the screen ventilation in my Emira which had been parked outside my workplace at 5°C the whole day. The fans worked, but not at their full speed, only for them to fully kick in when the engine was warmer and couple of minutes later. If the issue you’re experiencing persists, I suggest you see the dealer.

Hi, the dealer is collecting it next Monday to replace the resistor pack on the fan/air con system.

Do you think it could be that fans don't kick in until the heater core is warmed (or AC condenser is cooled) enough to be able to act to the desired/set temp?

No, its a common fault on the Emira. Water gets in to the resistor pack causing it to act sporadically or die altogether. There are alot of cars suffering the same issues and lotus have redesigned the resistor pack to prevent water ingress but its a 9 hour job for the dealer to repair.
