@Eddieboote what transmission? I always thought the two liter turbo ecotec would be a good one

@ I have now a transmission from an Audi A6. The bell housing is the same as that used for the Porsche 986 Boxer 6 speed type. I was originally going to use the Porsche type and pay about 650€ for one. My mechanic said, ‘but why?’ Use the Audi type, so I said ok do it. He sourced the gearbox in Poland (that’s where he is located). Paid about 80€. Then he visited a Porsche dealer to get the gear linkage mechanism that fits to the gear change on the transmission case and cables that fit to the short shifter. Porsche dealer wanted stupid money. So my mechanic simply copied the parts and improvised. I bought the Porsche 6 speed cables and short shifter. I have a Porsche clutch plate and custom made lightened flywheel. My mechanic also made a custom transmission cradle case to support it. It all works very well. If I ever crash the transmission I can easily get another very cheaply. Absolutely no bother since over 2yrs now

Hello, seems your video got no attention , I have a 2000 Esprit you can see my channel. I am beginning a engine conversion myself, using a Toyota 4.0L v8. Gonna use the Renault trans and same turbos. Maybe you can help?
