Is that cat Jonny really that much of a heavyweight? Im asking genuinely. Im kinda new to Radiohead so I haven't went down the rabbit hole yet. I been digging them for a couple yrs now. I listen to a handful of numbers but those I do love. I actually come from different genres but im very open minded when it comes to music. Gotta be. Anyway..

This was debuted by Thom Yorke at a warm-up show with his group Atoms For Peace in 2009. Radiohead first played the song during a benefit concert in 2010. Once recorded, “Lotus Flower” (2011) was chosen by the English alternative rock band as the first single from their studio album “The King of Limbs” (2011). The lotus flower, a.k.a. sacred lotus, an aquatic perennial, is the national flower of India and Vietnam. From ancient times it has been a divine symbol in Asian traditions, representing the virtue of sexual purity. In Asian classical literature, the lotus was often used in verse as an allegory for ideal feminine attributes. The LP’s title refers to an oak tree in Wiltshire’s Savernaks Forest, which is believed to be 1,000 years old❗️ Yorke’s singular moves in the music video inspired a series of dance dub clips having him grooving to popular tunes : Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” (2008), Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” (2009), and Guns N’ Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle” (1987). ONE DISTINCTIVE ODE TO WOMEN❕ 💜🪷💜
