Anyone can do whatever they think deem fit. But there is cause & effect in whatever we do. Ask yourself whether the Gohonzon can be photostat in color or not, if not why? Daisaku Ikeda has never encourage people to take photo or video record the Gohonzon. He encourage people to enshrine it. Can we tell the others that our praying object is inside the phone? Many people will think it is ok to have a Gohonzon image in their phone, some even pray to it. For myself, I follow the guidance given by my mentor, Daisaku Ikeda & SGI. Whether can use the image of the Gohonzon is up to you to decide. No need to argue.🙏

Dear SGI members This is my sincere admonition for every member of Soka Gakkai. What is the Three great secret laws to you?????? I am not talking about the sect. I was a member of Soka Gakkai for 70 years. I remember Toda sensei well. I am the last generation who remembers Toda sensei. Actually, Toda sensei even said he didn't mind to disband Soka Gakkai if Soka should goes against the One great secret law. If I say a very pin pointed specific way, The three great secret laws even be just the pedagogical method of Nichiren Daishonin. One great secret law, (The Dai Gohonzon) is a perfect fusion on Nin and Ho which is the true Buddha for everyone in any moment. So the Dai Gohonzon is the Buddha of true cause for all other Buddhas. Please study 五重相対(fivefold comparison), 五重三段(fivefold three layers), Lotus sutra the the Daishonin was talking about after 1271, that was no longer the Lotus sutra everyone does recitation but the Dai Gohonzon he inscribed on October 12th 1279. SGI has thrown one great secret law away since November 8th. 2014. As the result, SGI has Nothing to do with the Daishonin Buddhism, but the most deviated cult organization of the Daishonin Buddhism. One great secret law has been the advent of Nichiren Daishonin all time.

because it is a revolt to those that would use the gohozon to profit.. they want to sell each individual their own.. and instill a sense of fear surrounding the gohonzon. forget what you have been told. this is the new way. SGI has it displayed for all to see when you chant at one of their big prayer meetings. so i dont see the difference.

The Gohonzon is not, and never was, “hoarded”as you suggest. In fact, the world will be a remarkable place as more and more people chant. Before computers and tv, an approach of respect toward the Gohonzon was exercised. Close to 800 years after it was inscribed, we have images of the Gohonzon floating around. Covid also changed the way we interact with the world outside of ourselves. Causes result in effects.

I was shocked to see my Gohonzon, so openly on display and I wonder deeply what changes have been made in Nicheren Shoshu, that allows this so freely now. I would very much welcome some replies.

I have also left an Instagram comment and a dm for the guy that posted this video but there has been no progress or response. There does not seem to be the will to do anything about it. I also see another KZbin site where the thumbnail openly shows the gohonzon, on a background of dollars. It could not be more disrespectful, materialistic and blasphemous and yet this seems to be regarded as o.k. now. We live in the age of mappo and nothing is sacred any more. I am afraid.

EN EL DÌA 17, EL SUTRA 16 DE LOS QUINCE (15) SUTRAS Ò CAPÌTULOS, DE LOS SUTRA PROVICIONAL. ÈSTA ES LA ENSEÑANZAS QUE NICHIREN ENSEÑÒ. LOS QUINCE (15) SUTRAS DÌA A DÌA DEL ME Nichiren Daishonin señaló claramente: "El 'mensajero', en nuestra época, se refiere a los Bodhisattvas de la Tierra, que aparecerán a comienzos del Ultimo Día". Del fragmento "envía un mensajero a su hogar para que anuncie..."se desprende una obvia pregunta: ¿quién es exactamente ese "mensajero" enviado por el hábil médico? Esta persona, que transmite el mensaje enviado por el médico sobresaliente, comunica a los hijos la mala noticia del fallecimiento. Ya que el padre le ha confiado su corazón de guiar a los hijos hacia la felicidad, éste personaje desempeña una función vital para que ellos beban el remedio. Acaso sin este mensajero, los hijos habrían perdido la vida a causa de la enfermedad. En verdad, el emisario representa a las personas de misión más importante desde el punto de vista del Budismo. Pues este "emisario" enviado al hogar con un anuncio representa a aquellos capaces de comunicar correctamente la enseñanza budista al pueblo después de la muerte del Buda; indica a los "mensajeros de El Que Así Llega", que difunden la alentadora enseñanza budista en una época desprovista de toda esperanza. Con respecto a este punto, Nichiren Daishonin señaló claramente: "El 'mensajero', en nuestra época, se refiere a los Bodhisattvas de la Tierra, que aparecerán a comienzos del Ultimo Día". "Envía un mensajero a su hogar para que anuncie..." se refiere a los Bodhisattvas de la Tierra que asumirán sobre sus hombros la tarea de la propagación después de la muerte del Buda. En verdad, hay un mensaje lleno de esperanza en el hecho de que estos bodhisattvas aparezcan valerosamente en el mundo corrupto del Ultimo Día, cuando la enseñanza de Shakyamuni ha perdido por completo su capacidad de guiar a los hombres a la iluminación, para difundir el "remedio efecaz" de la Ley Mística que legó el Buda.

Can you please take the Gohonzon down? Various Nichiren Buddhist organizations don’t support its reproduction in this way. There are lots of NMRK chanting videos that don’t use the Gohonzon and are just as effective.
