Over the years I have watched this video a number of times. Please don’t ever take it down. I will always look at Lou Holtz as the Marine Corps. General of college football! I still like to watch ND now, but I will always wish that Lou could live forever, and coach forever at Notre Dame!

A true sportsman, a leader, inspirational, charismatic, and a true gentleman. If you took all the knowledge he has about football it would fill volumes. Extremely honest, fair, and generous.

I wish more teachers and coaches had this philosophy. Lou Holtz is a winner.

Great concepts that goes far beyond football. Everyone should live life this way. I'm not even an Irish fan (Michigan Man here) but Holtz is someone you HAVE to respect.

I met Lou Holtz and know many people who know him and have worked with him. If you have not had these experiences you are not qualified to comment. Cease the character assassination. If you have a specific story, then tell it, but don't engage in vicious attacks without any basis. Charlie

Hey Greymoose: Yeah, thank God USC never hired him. Holtz's record was 9-1-1 against ur Men of Troy during his 11-years at ND. How'd Ted Tolner, Larry Smith, and John Robinson work out for you guys?

I love ND and I loved this coach. Can someone tell me the real reason he was let go. I think I heard he did something wrong but to this day I still do not know the truth. Does someone know? We all know the athletes he had were questionable as students was this part of it?

lou holtz is the most superficial person i have ever seen! "Treat other people as you"d like to be treated!" I guess Lou Holtz likes to be treated like schit.

Agreed. A truly inspirational person. An excellent head coach for Notre Dame, and exemplified the core values of the university. Excellence, Integrity and Faith. He is among the greatest people in this sport.
