If you want a motor with the loudest jake brake, choose the 80s-mid 90s 12.7 Detroit. Those things are loud even with mufflers! A friend of dads ran a singel 6" straight pipe on his detroit, and he put his hearing aids in his pocket. It has a cut down muffler behind the turbo now, it's fairly quiet.
