Good job, I have a 95% Carrier furnace with a noisy inducer motor and have been oiling the bearing that I can reach for years. It's still noisy but it works. New inducer motor is over $500 so I can oil it to keep her running. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. How often do you find you have to add more oil to the motor? Hvac parts are so wildly overpriced.

Yes about once a year I do it. Seen a video where the fellow changed the bearings on the motor. Not an easy job tho.@@Canuckrz

That inducer motor isn't that expensive. Why not just fix it before it goes out . Because its going to go out on a Sunday in -10 degree weather

This one is close to $400 Canadian from a local supplier, and was just giving off some bearing noise due to age and the bearings drying out. Since the video it's no longer making any noise as it's run in with the new lubrication. I do agree that it shouldn't be expensive, it's a pretty simple and small motor. But unfortunately hvac stuff is marked up to the moon.

Would wd40 be ok for this?

I would not recommend it. It may work for a short period of time, but WD40 does not have the lasting film strength strength of a proper machine oil. 3 in 1 can be bought very cheaply at most hardware stores, and the SuperLube I used was around $15 CAD from Amazon.
