Loud N Ugly Garage - 56 Chevy Ladder Bars and Coil Overs EP8

A lot of fabrication and building brackets to make these old Lakewood ladder bars go in. But now we have a rolling 56 Chevy gasser chassis.

Nice job. Quick little tip when welding brackets is to insert a fender washer to act as a shim along with the component. This will space the brackets apart approx. .040"- .065" (depending on shim thickness) and will make fit up much better. I will do this on most all my brackets so then when parts are painted, chromed or powder coated the finish doesn't get marred due to having to beat the components into the brackets as they fit perfectly. Just a suggestion. Mike

Appreciate the input, we are using smaller bushings than the rubber ones that are in the ladder bars in the video. So we made the gap for the new bushings that are not here yet! Thank you though Mike Travis🤘🏼🇺🇸

most ladder bar suspensions it seems don't actually suspend haha.. will cause cracked/bent frames, and axle wrap, it only works with suspensions with very low amounts of travel, and i see most are made of solid spherical joints seems odd.. and then some have like shocks and springs and a pivot point for suspension that actually travels seems odd

We plan on a new center section with a posi, this car won’t have a lot of horse power building it for my little brother cheap for now. Thank you though we appreciate all input!🤘🏼🇺🇸
