To be fair, as much as i love the mclaren, I just couldn't deal with it's depreciation.. Soon enough it'll cost as much as the r8!! Also, I haven't driven the 720s, nor do I think I'll get the chance to; but as many car reviewers/journalist says the car isn't what they were expecting.. Everyone hyped up the launch of this car claiming it'll be something McLaren hasn't made before, and everyone, including mr Jww says it's lacks character, and overall it's not that special. Don't get me wrong.. Its ballistically fast, but when will we ever get to those speeds without killing ourselves? For that reason I'd have the r8. It's discreet, fun and you can with the 120k, you can afford to daily it.

I would much rather the 720s. It is much more beautiful than the r8. I got to sit in one when the first few arrived in my country and I was blown away by how good it looks and how nice it felt. Very comfortable car. No extra amount of money can change my decision. I have sat in the new r8 and I have found that it is for short people... I don't like that 😂😂😂 I am from the country that mclaren originated from (new zealand) and they are some of my favorite cars. Mclaren for the win!

McLarens especially the regular series like this usually drop a LOT, just look at how cheap a 12C is. This isn't gonna go up in value, and if it is we're talking very long term (or actually very short term, if you want to flip the car and sell it to someone that doesn't wanna wait months for one).

Audi R8 v10 plus and $120k in the bank. R8 is a great vehicle and great driving experience. 120k can be used in investing in a rental or commercial property, potentially can make your payment or part of payment on the next super car down the road.

I love the R8, but there is something about the 720s which has the wow factor compared to the R8. Just looking at the two together parked up, the 720s just pop's, and not forgetting the performance of the 720's, that is another level!! The 120k would be nice to have on top, but I am not about the sensible vibes.

I love the cockpit of the R8 but I love the cockpit on the 720S just as much, the back end of the 720s looks amazing as do the doors and I think it's so worth the money for what you get out of it, McLaren probably could of charged more money for it and no one would complain

I would take the 720s hands down. While the R8 is a fantastic vehicle, it can not compare with the raw speed and ability of the 720. Combine that with the borderline hypercar looks and prestige of a Mclaren badge, and you have an unbeatable combination.

I already have the R8 plus in black. More elegant, more reliable usable everyday supercar. Plus the 4 wheel drive system is a godsend. Yes if you drive the car on the track every day the McLaren probably has an advantage but how often is that.
