*Do you know what causes the prolonged hydraulic noises and loud spool-up on the PW1500Gs? Let me know!* 👇👇

afaik, the howl is the pw 1000 series hitting resonances
@tomtalker2000 Жыл бұрын
If you can get over that initial noise. Especially on take off where the engines howl a bit it's PERFECTLY silent after that. One of the quietest jets i've flown on. Great job Bombardier.

I agree with that! I have been on the 220 before and do not recall all this noise, perhaps I saw directly on top of the hydraulic pumps. Thanks for watching, check out my Embraer E190 E2 video for comparison!

I just flew on a Swiss airline 220-300 last night and made the same noises and the whole cabin was vibrating which I found very odd . Did you get an explanation or answer to this ? I was quite stressed on this flight especially following the engine problems reports . Would appreciate some more info!

I think that ptu sound may actually be a Ram air turbine.

Doesn’t the Dash 8 have the same annoying PTU sound when sitting under the wing?
@greatflyer_aviation Жыл бұрын
I remember a loud mechanical sound while sitting on the ground, however I’m not sure if the Q400 has a PTU.

That’s because the engines are part of the same family! Unfortunately this means they are subject to the same technical delays.
