Background
Bolder -- a campaigning choir - developed out of Age UK Camden's Henderson Day Resource Centre with older people from both Camden and Brent.
"Ain't Gonna......" is set to the tune of "Down By The Riverside" and expresses the passion and determination of members to keep their resource centres open. It was filmed on location in London including outside Downing Street. All references to Les Miserables are entirely accidental.........
Age UK Camden's CEO Gary Jones commented "The video is fun and creative, but there's a harder edged message too. In many local authority areas, day care is out of fashion, and Councils have to deal with Government cuts. Many Councils believe that baby boomers want different services and centre-based care brings fixed costs. Centres are being overtly decommissioned or more covertly put under market pressure with personalisation. However, many in this generation of older people still want great quality day care and fun with friends. We deliver that through two day resource centres and need donations to keep vital services going".

Friendly local centres also need lots of interesting activities to do, super staff and sufficient resources so all older people can enjoy life to the full and participate actively in their communities.
