The thing about loudness that i’ve always noticed is that every member of the band is a relative virtuoso... bass player does NOT suck, obviously the singer kicks major ass regardless of the accent which some people cant get over - whatever - hes a superstar.... and that new drummer? Where did they find that guy? Jesus he is about as rock solid perfect tempo as anyone could be and he is NOT just playing 4 on the floor either..... Heres the thing though - and I just put this together this very second while watching this video. There is a BIG commonality between Akira, Eddie Van Halen, Dimebag - and even Zakk - and if I stretch it a bit - even Brad Gillis. Akira has been around long enough that I question whether he got his style from EVH or of EVH perhaps got a bit of style from Akira? Don’t flame me on this - I would love to hear commentary though. Of course just about everyone was influenced by Eddie Van Halen - no argument there.
