Nakano Sun Plaza Hall, Tokyo
November 1983
Line-Up
-----------------
Minoru Niihara - vocal
Akira Takasaki - guitar
Munetaka Higuchi - drums
Masayoshi Yamashita - bass
----------------------------------
Thanks for Loudness & recorders ! Source of my Diamond Heart version is remastered Laserdisc on DVD (official released on DVD only Japan in 2005). (sorry my english)
Source is very good, but contains two failure:
- Audio: drums & bass sound is good but medium/high vocal range and guitar sound is below average.
--- Rebalance this, vocal & guitar sound is better.
- Video: colours is not powerful. Now enhanced colours and dark-light range is wide,
--- colours is better, but not total perfect (balanced with filters, not remaster).
- Human eye from far away not eagle eye and more colours and more dark and more lights.
- Play LOUD with HD video resolution (in HD res. contains very better audio quality and dynamic range)
- If you sit in dark room 2-3 meter from fullscreened HD resolution monitor - visuality is very better!

14歳のころ自転車でこのビデオを金持ちの同級生の家に見に行きました たしかVHSのビデオテープ9800円だった記憶があります、そこの家にはTHUNDER IN THE EAST Vol.1, 2もありました、同級生同士で泊まりこみでビデオを見たことがあります そして2019年ゼップ札幌で夢が叶います、ここまで来るのに34年もかかりました、もう樋口さんがいませんでしたがリアルなラウドネスのライブを堪能しました。

In 1985 when i was not yet 16, my friend let me make a copy of his record on audio cassette. It was my first hard rock/heavy metal music. Not sure where the tape is now, but i listened to it hundreds of times over many years. Great to hear it again, and finally watch the concert video, and in better audio quality of course. 40 years later! Thanks for posting.

Meh. I think they just jumped on the metal bandwagon because it was a way to get a shot at fame. They were actually a bubble gum pop band with some success before going Metal. Watch the Metal School Channel that has a Doc on them.

Do more than watch the Metal School segment. Look up Lazy on Wikipedia. They wanted to rock, but their manager and label were in control. Heck, they took their name from a Deep Purple song! So meh to your assessment of their metal pedigree.

That's crazy, I was in the Army in 85 stationed at Fort Ord, CA and my Army buddy Ray and fellow metalhead was from Petaluma, CA about a 3 hour drive away. He invited me to stay with his family on weekends and the first time I went, he took me to his friend's party with other metalheads. I was from Detroit, but it was cool how I got along good with all his California friends having the love metal in common. I heard Loudness jamming on the stereo at this party and I'm like, "what the fuck is this, it's amazing" and was told Loudness from Japan. Well, I was an instance fan. What's crazy is, after we both were discharged, I returned to CA to visit Ray a couple times over the years and kept in touch with him. In 2011, I was talking to Ray and he told me he was sick, but wouldn't elaborate and said he'd be OK...then about 5 months later I get a call from his sister telling me he passed away from pancreatic cancer. Every time I hear Loudness and Queensrÿche, Ray's fav band, I think of Ray.

I can't remember how in God's name I discovered this band. I think it was probably a case of catching an interview in 'Hit Parader' and then hearing quite a few prominent musicians raging about Akira Takasaki. I do know that I was the first person in my group of friends to buy "Thunder In The East" and when I heard 'Crazy Night' it was fucking over. I pimped this band HARD to anyone who would listen, and I still believe "Never Change Your Mind" is absolutely the best fucking power ballad ever written. The Queen-like section before the last chorus is fucking incredible. Way ahead of its time. And god DAMN these guys could play!

I caught onto the Queen thing as well when I was 14,I always wondered if anyone else did.I always loved their stuff ,but didn't talk about them much I guess I thought someone would think I was kinda weird,...but I guess those that turned their noses up to them missed out..they were a kick ass band that just kinda faded away
@jcw91371
@jcw91371 3 жыл бұрын
@@michaelhignight8452 They continued to be successful in the east and in Europe. Breaking a band into the US market is incredibly hard, even for an English band much less a Japanese group. I don't know how they landed on the Motley tour but if Doc McGee thought he was hiring an unthreatening novelty act that would never upstage the main act, he was very much dead wrong. Every video I've seen from that tour shows a band in top form and straight killing it.
