Not many singer songwriters have been able to write, sing and record such vital music over what has been a long career. I suppose quite a few have been able to perform at a high level, he certainly hasn’t lost a bit in that regard. His songwriting, the quality of his albums has been so consistent, still razor sharp and it’s quite remarkable. Few have the kind of back catalogue he has to mine, he doesn’t need to milk those songs to keep things interesting, it’s by choice.
