Utterly fabulous and totally 'loudonesque'. There is no one who has the genius of Loudon, who can create such a humourous song out of what was likely a very angry situation. Great song Loudon, and thanks to the good person who braved sitting on a hard lawn on a cold June evening (no chairs allowed) to capture this performance for KZbin.

Just saw Loudon on Tuesday at the Largo in LA... loved his performance of this song. It's kind of hard to not love everything he does.

I was at the Austin show he refers to (Cactus Cafe). He borrowed Eric Johnson's guitar for the gig.

I was at the concert in Durango where it happened. He was so pissed the whole night. He kept coming back to it between every song. I had no idea he actually wrote a song about it, I was pointed here after mentioning the incident on the "United Breaks Guitars" comments. Great video and audio quality.

Loudon is a brilliant social critic singing, stinging, sardonic truths with poetic aplomb. Saw him bring it again @ the Paramount in Asbury Park in 2016.

Not sure how long ago this concert was, but this incredibly hard-working artist recently published yet another album entitled "Lifetime Achievement" at the young age of 75. He came out with an album of covers of old classics not so long ago and like he always has, the man keeps making new music and his voice is better than ever. He hasn't lost a step in the songwriting category either. Like I always say, "Loudon's new album is his best one yet". And man, I mean it. He puts to shame the guys I've seen who keep playing the half dozen good songs they wrote in the 60's or 70's and getting paid to do it. Loudon Wainwright III has earned his money and every bit of fame he has.

I always worry when I travel with my guitar. I love it so much. I would die if it was damaged. So I invested in a great lockable, hard guitar case.

Testify. When I was forced to put my accordion in baggage after a concert tour in Europe it came back with the bass side bashed in. Never took my axe on an airplane after that. Ever.

@cimbalok, do you know the story Leo Kotke tells about accordions? Well, before he became a great guitarist Leo played the accordion. He was driving into NYC and couldn't find a garage to put his car into, so he had to park out on the street with his accordion in the back seat. When he returned he found that his worst fears had come true: someone had broken his rear window and placed two more accordions in the back seat with his.

According to a recent news article, Delta breaks guitars too. In the most recent case, they got a 1965 Gibson ES-335. Yes, cringe. But I sure hope the owner writes a song.
